Violence and Discrimination, a short film from Pierre Rehov be seen by more people. It’s about women’s rights under the Palestinian Authority and Islam in general.
This film has relevance to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, human rights, the role of religion in society and how the quality of life of women in a culture reflect on it as a whole.
What a culture, government, religion or individual defines as “women’s rights” can vary greatly.
I suggest watching this film and thinking about your own definition of women’s rights. Mine start with the Equal Rights Amendment. It should have been adopted long ago.

I don't think men really care if a woman can cook or clean well.
We have door dash, unlimited food options, and relatively cheap house cleaners.
What men care about is a woman that is not going to interrupt the peace he has built for himself.
He doesn't want a woman entering his world and bringing with her a list of demands about how his current lifestyle isn't good enough.
He wants a woman that is going to enter his world, sees the way he runs it, and takes initiative to help him make it run MORE smoothly.
Not someone who causes more problems that he needs to solve.
Men want a partner. Not an opponent.

Yes. Records of major Israeli operations in Gaza over 75 years, including 2006 Summer Rains, 2008-09 Cast Lead, 2012 Pillar of Defense, 2014 Protective Edge, 2021 Guardian of the Walls and the 2023 war, show they followed rocket barrages, raids or assaults from Gaza on Israel. 1956 also responded to prior fedayeen attacks from the Strip.
If this attempted hijacking was in anyway an organized terrorist action Israel will hunt those responsible for it down ruthlessly.

🚨NEWS: The Islamist organisation 5 Pillars has reported John Cleese to the Prevent Programme after John made factual, accurate and valid statements about Islam
John's statements on Islam:
“To criticise a culture whose holy book advocates the killing of all the people they disagree with...is not racist. It’s culturalist.”
“traditional British values are under attack from Muslim belief systems, especially the Koranic demands to kill ‘infidels’.”
“I personally prefer a culture that does not approve of Female Genital Mutilation, Child Marriage and Killing Infidels.”
“Another religious diktat from the Pro-Paedophila Propaganda Department.”
5 Pillars are a vile organisation who should not exist in the UK
We value freedom of speech and expression especially when it comes to criticising ideologies or religions
Stand with @JohnCleese !

I am very grateful for the brave members of ICE. They protect Americans when nearly every other institution in our country fights for foreigners first.
Imagine having the freedom to choose whether and how you work. My choice was “work” or go live under a bridge.
Men and women have equal IQs. Men’s primary physical advantage over women is strength and that’s about it. Women are working, building careers, and increasingly have the freedom to choose whether and how they work.
Some men seem angry that women now have choices and no longer have to depend on, or stay under the control of, unsuccessful men with low self-esteem. That loss of control is the real issue here. It’s not bias. Women don’t feel fucked up. Men do. Women are just going about their lives.
I don’t know who we could get big oil companies to build new refineries but banning the export of diesel definitely won’t help.
I’m not against banning exports though. It may discourage the building of new capacity but that wasn’t going to happen anyway.
Who remembers when Democrats held congressional hearings pressuring oil company executives to produce less oil?
Ro Khanna was a real dick about it.

Two important essays were published this week on the theme that the climate movement is now a serious national security risk for the US and Europe. This one in Tablet magazine:
tabletmag.com/sections/news/…
is by 2 authors, one from the Hudson Inst in DC and the other a professor at the Naval Postgrad Academy in CA. They trace the links between China and the western Net Zero movement, which is partly financial, but works mostly through influence operations by which the CCP gains exemption from criticism by western green groups despite its own coal-intensive and slave labor-dependent growth strategy.
This one:
thegwpf.org/content/uploads/…
is by Richard Dearlove, former head of MI5, explaining how China's influence ops in the UK led to deindustrialization and a precarious dependence on China; to the extent that the UK could not now reindustrialize or stabilize its electricity grid without seeking assistance from Beijing.
Dearlove's paper raises the possibility that a security agency like MI5 saw a threat building but was unable to address it because of a perception that climate science forbids criticizing Net Zero and related measures. A question I think worth asking is whether western intelligence agencies have internalized the green Net Zero mindset thereby preventing them from challenging the climate alarmism so effectively weaponized by the CCP. And if they now want to start doing so, would they know how, or have the capacity to do so.

Some folk get very exercised about oil company profits.
I checked
The entire oil industry made about $200 billion profit last year.
That's about as much as just one country - with 1/100th of the world's population- spends on 9 months healthcare (UK NHS)
Does not seem like an unfair overall return for providing power to the whole world...
Q1: Why are oil companies so successful?
A1: Because they offer products that 8,000,000,000 people are eager to use.
Q2: Why are renewable companies such a failure?
A2: Their products are so bad only governments can be persuaded to buy them. And even then they need subsidies to keep them alive at all.

Something that is rarely talked about is when Joe Biden attempted to create a Disinformation Governance Board.
Democrats actually tried to eliminate the 1st amendment and nobody talks about it just because the failed.. The fact that they tried should have been straight up criminal.
When you feel like you're too lazy to vote or feel like Republicans are doing a bad job.. Just remember a republican that doesn't do much is better than a Democrat who actively tries to erase the constitution.

This is superb.
The lesson begins with the usual catechism: J.K. Rowling has “bigoted opinions”.
Then someone makes the unforgivable mistake of reading what she actually wrote.
Suddenly, certainty requires definitions. Slogans require evidence. “Everyone knows” requires rather more than everyone saying it.
Critical thinking really is murder on a fashionable consensus.

There is something profoundly dishonest about people who crucify fossil fuels and vilify the coal, oil, and gas industries while enthusiastically enjoying every benefit that they make possible.
Climate panic merchants will condemn oil while they drive or Uber around in gas-powered cars. They'll talk about the urgency of reducing our “carbon footprints” while they board airplanes (and in some cases, private jets) and putz around to tropical destinations. They'll demonize oil and gas, but live a materialistic modern lifestyle ordering products off of Amazon that have to be shipped to their doorstep by 18-wheelers and box trucks, and sometimes from overseas by means of air or cargo ship. This eco-maniacs expect store shelves to remain stocked with goods or groceries for their personal convenience while forgetting what it takes to achieve all of that.
Climate alarmists denigrate natural gas while heating their homes or apartments, cooking their food, and in many cases, supplying electricity. Heck, fossil fuels are what keep their electronics charged and provide a WiFi connection so they can whine online about how evil fossil fuel companies and capitalism are. They will malign the oil and gas industry, yet reap the benefits of smartphones, computers, medical equipment and medicines, roads, household appliances, plastics, lubricants, and synthetic clothing that are all derived from or manufactured using fossil fuels.
Our extraordinary mobility, food abundance, medical care, sanitation, communications, industrial capacity, and protection from extreme weather were built with affordable, reliable energy. Fossil fuels have provided those and have lifted billions of people out of poverty and freed humanity from a world in which dying from cold weather exposure, disease, and backbreaking manual labor were everyday realities.
Fossil fuels took a naturally dangerous environment and have made it far safer for us to live in, not the other way around as you have been misled to believe by the likes of Al Gore, Greta Thunberg, and United Nations.
It is true that burning them releases carbon dioxide (it's a natural byproduct of combustion). And it is also true that adding more of it to the atmosphere does induce a slight warming tendency in the Earth's lower atmosphere, all else being equal. But that does not necessarily mean that warming poses an “existential threat” to life on Earth. In fact, there could even be some benefits (e.g., longer growing seasons; less icy travel delays; and fewer cold-related deaths, which outnumber heat-related in most regions).
However, there are always pros and cons to any sort of climate change that occurs (natural, man-made, or both). Cooling, for instance, would shorten growing seasons in most of the mid-latitudes and increase the risk of early- and late-season frosts that kill crops. You are not guaranteed, much less entitled to no risk. Some regions probably will not see positive outcomes from global warming. But risk is a given. That is why you must adapt and mitigate accordingly.
But risk is not a good enough justification to demand we decarbonize the global economy by eliminating oil, natural gas, and coal from the energy mix.
That all being said, I am indifferent to using fossil fuels as an energy source.
If energy technologies advance to where our modern and highly industrialized economies can be powered with so-called “carbon-free” alternatives, then by all means, great. But the federal government should not be favoring one sector over another. The free market should decide. For instance, I would consider buying a Tesla (the technology is cool just from an engineering standpoint) even though I am against EV mandates. But that would be my personal choice, not something forced upon me by politicians.
In a perfect world, the free market would already be scaling up nuclear fission, but based on my personal experience, nuclear is vehemently opposed by many climate activists. Polling data supports this, as Pew Research Center data routinely show that Democrats oppose nuclear over Republicans and Independents by a significant margin. And virtually all climate panic puppies are Democrats or politically left-wing. You will be hard pressed to find a real conservative climate activist. In fact, I have never encountered one in all of the years I have spent talking about this topic.
But there is a difference between being indifferent to fossil fuels and being open to alternatives all the while recognizing the importance of them, and then actively demonizing fossil fuels while benefitting from them. It is night and day.
As far as I'm concerned, if you vilify fossil fuels, your ability to use them and enjoy their benefits should be forcibly revoked. Local authorities should cut off your electricity, shut off your gas lines, and confiscate your consumer electronics and WiFi router.
If you want to outlaw fossil fuels and get to “net zero,” then I suggest you take personal steps to do it. Do not wait for Big Daddy government to step into frame and hold your hand like a guiding light. Be the change you want to see and lead by example. Give up all modern luxuries and show the rest of the world that you really care about “saving the planet.”
Otherwise, just shut up about the environment.
My mother was raised in a Pentecostal family, her father was a pastor, she was about as conservative and prudish as you can get. She was definitely not a fan of women singers or actresses. When I was a kid she wouldn’t let us listen to any popular music, only gospel or classical.
Even she loved Dolly Parton.
Apparently the right wing is “anti-theft” and the left wing is “pro-theft” now.
I’m glad this lady cleared that up for us.
New York socialist says nobody should be jailed for stealing
xitter.cf/EmilyAssembly/status/2…
She goes off on people and "right wingers" who call for thieves to be jailed for stealing and vandalizing stores saying they are just fear-mongering
She argues that nobody should be in jail over 'stealing soap and toothpaste' because it's something they need, and we shouldn't stand by major stores because they are billion dollar companies
According to her the "true crime" that's happening is "the wealth disparity in the city"
