Appreciate the research. It makes my point even better than I made it.
$65,000 in 2013.
$75,000 in 2014.
$65,000 in 2022.
$65,000 in 2026.
Thirteen years, essentially the same number. $65,000 in 2013 is roughly $91,000 in today's dollars, so in real terms the rate has fallen about 30 percent for the exact same game types. Everything else in this sport inflated. Celebration Bowl payouts, conference streaming deals, classic guarantees, coaching salaries, travel costs. We also became NCAA DII for the first time ever in 2024. This one line never moved.
And you are correct that our administration raised it in 2022. Four years before Saturday, before this loss, and before anyone could call it sour grapes. Nothing changed.
That is exactly why we are no longer asking. We are simply setting our own terms.

I experienced the darkest moment of my life. Many thought I took a break but those close to me knew I was fighting for life. ICU for 2 months, intubated and placed on a ventilator, collapsed lungs and failed kidneys. Family was called in to prepare for the worst. But GOD!!
