🦟 No reported clinical cases does not always mean no transmission.
🔙 This #ThrowbackThursday, we’re looking back at 15 years of West Nile virus surveillance in Guadeloupe and how its circulation remained largely out of sight.

🔙 Happy #ThrowbackThursday!
Today we’re revisiting a #BCOMING study that analysed more than 2,600 wildlife samples in northern Cambodia and identified diverse coronaviruses in bats and rodents. 🦇

🌍🔎 This might look like a scene from #WhereIsWally, but that's just how busy things are at the @WOHCongress today.
We are here with @BcomingEU, @BEPREP_EU and #ZOE proving that interesting conversations happen when different disciplines step outside their comfort zones. 🤝
Olá, Lisboa! 👋
🦠 #BCOMING’s final meeting is underway in Lisbon as we speak. One chapter ends, but a new one focusing on One Health begins this Saturday. 👀
Keep an eye out for news from the 9th Wolrd One Health Congress! 🌍️

👀 Revisiting a #BCOMING publication on eDNA and mammal surveys.
Analysing 28 studies and 900+ mammal taxa, the authors found that eDNA works well for many large mammals, but traditional methods still outperform it for groups such as bats.
The key message: #eDNA is a powerful complement to, not a replacement for field expertise.

📚 Revisiting a BCOMING publication on One Health.
The paper introduces the concept of "infectious bubbles": areas where poverty, inadequate hygiene, and degraded biodiversity intersect, creating conditions that can increase infectious disease risk.
