Pre-season conditioning, is not just about getting in shape. It’s about seeing who will fight thru adversity. Who fight or flee during tough times. And will the team stay together. It’s more than just a mile time.

Excited for a new season and a new chapter! I’m making a change in my coaching and teaching roles and couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead. I’m especially looking forward to working with Coach Broome and being part of a great team.

People ask me all the time what are your favorite books. I have read a lot of great books and it is hard to choose but these six probably had the biggest impact on my coaching. a.co/d/0eLUlG1n

Mason Wynne (@masonwynne25) is a 6’0 freshman at Mary Baldwin University. He is a sharpshooting guard with elite range from beyond the arc. Not only can he knock down threes consistently, but he’s also a skilled playmaker who sets up his teammates effectively. He showcased his shooting ability in the win over Brevard, dropping 11 points on 3/6 3PT shooting. Be on the lookout! 📈

Summer league basketball and we are holding the ball for 5 mins to get a win. That doesn’t win you games in the season.

College coaches, I see y’all out on the road. As a former HS coach, we all appreciate it if: - Let us know you are coming, even if you are in the parking lot already. It helps. - Respect our time. Many of us have 30-40 kids in front of us when you get there. Plus a million other things to do. - Read the room. If I’m talking and walking fast, please keep up, I got stuff to do. - Respect the kids’ time. Most can’t sit and listen to ANYONE for an hour. You’re no different. We are getting close to exams. Don’t keep them out of class long. - IF at all possible, have an idea of who you want to see. “Who ya got” isn’t a great look. There’s more. Just some off the cuff-ness for ya.

North Stanly (13-1) scoring vs. NR. Jalen Walker 18 or 20. One NS bucket off screen. Ben Williamson 16, Jack Williamson 14, Maddox Lowder, red shoes, red hair, looked like he came out of student section, but he could play. He had 11. Moore 3 3s. Helms 3, Daugherty 2 or 4.

The North Stanly 2025 duo of 6’1” Jalen Walker and 6’1” Jack Williamson have been fun to watch today. Hard nosed shot makers that play with pace and set the tone for the rest of their group. Both no brainer next level guys that understand the winning way. #PhenomHSJamboree

2025 Jack Williamson (North Stanly) should appeal to a lot of programs, highly productive and efficient with the understanding of how to fill his role in different structures by making reads, versatile offensively, competitive defender and savvy playmaker #PhenomHSJamboree
