Had a great time speaking at @Texas_Heart as the 23rd John Lewis Visiting Professor. Even got some time in the studio and made Jason Rodgers sign the mug! For when he takes over for Katie Couric (inside joke haha). Thanks for the invite! @BaylorCardio @SCAI @CBallantyneMD

Thank you @ACCinTouch #QualitySummit to give me an opportunity to speak on "Impact of Quality Initiatives in a #ValueBasedCare Health System". I proudly spoke about "Controlling Cardiometabolic Risk Factors in 4.6 million Population- A Nation Leading Model". ⚔ Shared research showing how death rates from heart disease and stroke among members of Northern California #KaiserPermanente dropped at twice the national rate. ⚔ How our value based care model rewards healthy outcomes. ⚔ How quality initiatives are successfully implemented, thanks to thousands of physicians and non physicians coming together in a team based approach. āš”ļøThere was also a phenomenal panel discussion on aligning #QualityInitiatives with #PatientCenteredCare.

A brilliant article by Ms. Blanton in @PreventionMag. Much needed conversation on questionable "benefits" of alcohol onā¤ļøand our society's relationship with it. She covered possible bias in past research, role of media & industry lobbying . Gratified to provide my insights.
