This disturbing encounter was caught on camera in New York City and appears to show a masked ICE agent pepper-spraying a woman for filming ICE’s actions. Legal experts say using force against someone for recording law enforcement is against the law.

Jesus.
🚨BREAKING: Men posed as ICE agents and detained and assaulted a woman… and Tom Homan is telling everyone that they just have to comply with this. A woman was driving on Highway 211, in Oregon, when a vehicle with flashing red and blue lights pulled behind her. Believing she was being stopped by law enforcement, she pulled over. Two men approached her vehicle, one was carrying a rifle, and they claimed to be ICE agents and told her she was being detained. They pulled her out of her car, searched her, and put her in the back of their vehicle. Then, a third man… who remained inside the vehicle… assaulted her. He told her he was the “guard.” The men were wearing tactical vests labeled “POLICE,” carrying fake badges, and wore face coverings. They held her for nearly 20 minutes before telling her she was free to go… and then she drove herself to the hospital. And while she was there, she reported that she started receiving text messages from someone claiming to be a law firm offering legal representation for her detention. Federal authorities later confirmed this was NOT an official ICE operation… These were people pretending to be federal agents. And this is exactly why Tom Homan telling people to “comply” with anyone claiming to be ICE is so incredibly dangerous. Because what is a person supposed to do when someone in a tactical vest, carrying a gun, pulls them over with flashing lights and says they are federal agents? Just trust them? This is not about telling people to resist legitimate law enforcement. This is about the government normalizing a system where anyone can look like an armed federal agent, claim to have authority over you, and expect you to obey without being able to verify who they are. That doesn’t make people safer. It makes everyone more vulnerable to being kidnapped, assaulted, or killed by criminals who know they can pretend to be ICE.

Good.
UAW members see through efforts to buy this election with negative ads. We know who is on our side. @AbdulElSayed stands with the workers. That's why we're backing him for U.S. Senate.

So the establishment’s technique is to create a divide between black folks and arab folks in Michigan? Seems like a bad idea but I guess the southern strategy worked for Nixon

Farmington school board member Angie Smith says she’s backing Stevens because she believes she will represent everyone, “not just one race… You have to know how to work the room, don’t just come in here speaking Arabic, don’t come out with your Arabic music on.”

Fun Fact: This Anti-Haley ad was shot in Angie Smith's Yard in 2022, because she was deeply anti-Haley and was supporting Andy Levin. Just felt this was important.

LESSONS FROM THE ELECTIONS IN NEW YORK CITY Last night, voters across New York delivered a powerful message: the era of status quo politics is over. From Buffalo to Queens, grassroots candidates ran bold campaigns focused on the struggles facing working people and won decisive victories. Not only did Brad Lander, Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier win their Congressional primaries, but progressives won downballot as well. Adam Bojak, Christian Celeste Tate, Eli Northrup, Illapa Sairitupac, Samantha Kattan, Eon Huntley, Diana Moreno and David Orkin all won their New York state assembly races, while Aber Kawas and Jessica Gonzalez-Rojas won their State Senate races. These victories occurred despite the fact that Super PACs funded by AIPAC, the crypto industry, AI and other billionaire-backed groups have spent tens of millions of dollars trying to defeat progressive candidates and crush a movement that threatens their economic and political power. They happened because ordinary people knocked on doors, made phone calls, organized in their communities, and demanded a government that works for working families instead of wealthy campaign donors. The American people — in New York and all across this country — are tired of a rigged economy that allows the very rich to become richer while working families struggle to afford housing, health care, child care and education. They are tired of a political system dominated by wealthy donors and corporate interests. And they are tired of billionaires and their Super PACs attempting to buy our elections. Last night showed that when working people stand together, organize, and fight back, they can defeat establishment politicians and enormous amounts of money and political influence. We’re making progress. The task before us now is to build on that momentum. If Democrats regain control of Congress next year, they must listen to the people who put them in office. Status quo establishment policies are not enough. We must be bold.  We must take on Oligarchy. We must represent working families and create a government that works for all, not just the few.
