Cyprian Nyakundi has raised a question Kenyans cannot afford to ignore: What happens if a sitting president refuses to hand over power after losing an election, and the internet is switched off?
Who takes responsibility? Who protects the people’s verdict? What safeguards will prevent such a crisis?
IEBC, the Judiciary and security agencies must answer these questions before 2027, not after the damage is done. A credible election must guarantee not just the right to vote, but the peaceful transfer of power.
Kenya must prepare for every scenario. Democracy cannot depend on one person’s goodwill.

My conclusion is that certain individuals in Government created the false El Niño forecast to enable the plunder of public funds in the name of road construction and repairs in Nairobi through an emergency fund.
How else do explain why heavy rains forecasted for July, 2026 are yet to arrive in October, 2026? Further, why are there no similar projects outside Nairobi?
