Prediction markets are not the future of betting.
A points-based, (and hence truth-incentivized and not hedge-polluted) prediction market is the first successful attempt to make the entire civilization keep a running, weighted score of how well it understands itself.
News media will become downstream of that score.

this boggled my mind last month and I have been thinking about this ever since.
so, in the last seconds of a short duration polymarket bitcoin bet, if the bet is still close, some traders suddenly buy or sell a lot of bitcoin. trading jumps & it becomes easier to buy and sell bitcoin right then.
but right after the bet ends, the bitcoin price often moves back.
one of the clearest patterns in polymarket’s short-term btc markets shows up off-platform.
across ~11.8k polymarket btc up/down cycles, binance spot volume jumped into the close when the polymarket contract was still trading like either side could win.
when the contract was already priced away from 50/50, the burst mostly vanished.

prediction market dreamers are dreaming this, but it wont come true:
the dream being: the information stack inverting - markets stopping to react to news. news starting to react to markets.
why this dream wont come true: because, when money is involved, hedging is inevitable and the signals are polluted.
this is why a points-based prediction market, game theoretically designed to incentivize truth can make this true.
basically take the money out of the equation to get truth back in the equation.

why no scheduling feature for articles, @X!?

prediction markets aren't turning into better polls or sportsbooks.
they are destined to become the first continuous, capital-backed simulator of counterfactuals.
impact markets won't just price "will X happen?"
They'll price "what's Nvidia worth if GPT-6 ships before Gemini-4?" or "company valuation if they fire the CEO."
this is something that will become the major source of ground for AI models to make decisions.
think currently disintegrated belief becoming tradable infrastructure.

Last Month in Quantum 🗓️
As we enter a new month, let's recap all the moving quantum parts that went down in July:
🏛️ @WhiteHouse held its first quantum industry summit: over $2.2B in support, industry aligned on fault-tolerant computing by 2028.
🇮🇱 Israel launched a national quantum computing infrastructure program, NIS 100M to build a country-level R&D hub.
🇪🇺 The EU's Cloud and AI Development Act arrived, with building up Europe's quantum sector written into it.
⟠ @VitalikButerin unveiled Lean @ethereum: the biggest overhaul since the Merge, ~7 forks over 3 to 4 years, quantum resistance at the core. His own odds on a cryptographically relevant quantum computer before 2030: one in five.
🤖 @AnthropicAI's Claude Mythos broke HAWK, a NIST post-quantum candidate, in ~60 hours. Withdrawn. ML-DSA and ML-KEM: untouched.
💰 @IBM's CEO put dates on quantum revenue: 2028 or 2029, "a trillion dollars of value" by the late 2030s, a $2B chip foundry behind it.
🌐 @Cloudflare: over two-thirds of browser traffic to its network is already post-quantum encrypted, full post-quantum security targeted for 2029. NIST's own message the same week: the migration takes a decade, start now.
⚛️ The science moved too:
→ @QuantinuumQC and the University of Chicago entangled 54 qubits via non-Abelian anyons, published in Nature
→ @PsiQuantum signed a $125M agreement with DARPA to advance utility-scale quantum computing
→ According to Quantum Zeitgeist, new qLDPC error-correction codes from USTC and Origin Quantum cut physical qubits per logical qubit by ~8x
The whole world is setting the stage for the post-quantum future. Bullish.
And the signature at the centre of it, ML-DSA, is the standard NaoX transactions can be signed with, at the strongest level NIST defines.

NIST, the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, just said the quiet part about the post-quantum transition: it will take more than a decade. Worth reading, via @QuantumDaily
The article features Andrew Regenscheid, the @NIST mathematician behind the standards work, and two lines stand out:
→ "An adversary doesn't need a quantum computer today to put your data at risk." Harvest now, decrypt later is live: encrypted data intercepted today gets decrypted the day the hardware arrives.
→ Companies follow a yearslong process to adopt these algorithms, and NIST expects the full migration to span over a decade. Their advice: inventory your cryptography, map your most sensitive data, and start immediately.
Now apply that math to blockchains. A live chain migrating to post-quantum cryptography faces the same yearslong process, plus the hardest coordination problem in the industry: moving every user, wallet and contract without breaking anything.
NaoX made that migration unnecessary by building on the finalized standards from the start.
Transactions can be signed with ML-DSA-87 (FIPS 204, Level 5). Key enrolment runs on ML-KEM-768 (FIPS 203). Validator entry has required post-quantum keys since genesis.
The industry's transition is measured in decades. Ours was a design decision ⏳
Slowly, then suddenly.

the state of prediction market regulations in the US is a clear example of how misaligned government bodies can trump innovation and value
prediction markets provide a financial instrument while disseminating information through incentives
with @Kalshi on this one.
New York asked a court to shut down a federally licensed exchange nationwide at 12:01 am with $36 billion attached.
Every prediction market is a defendant in this case.

The recent @AnthropicAI news is huge for NaoX. Here's why 👇
Claude Mythos, Anthropic's model, just broke HAWK, a NIST post-quantum signature candidate, in 60 hours. Two years of human review missed the flaw. Days later, HAWK's authors withdrew it.
The signature it could not touch? ML-DSA-87. The signature our quantum-resistant Layer 1 is built around.
What it is:
The Module-Lattice Digital Signature Algorithm, NIST's FIPS 204, standardized after a six-year, 82-candidate competition. NaoX runs the strongest parameter set: security Level 5, the highest NIST defines.
How it works:
ECDSA rests on elliptic curves, which Shor's algorithm breaks on a large quantum computer. ML-DSA rests on lattice problems: mathematics with no known quantum shortcut after decades of attack.
How NaoX runs it:
→ Verified natively by the L1 itself: ~38.5 microseconds per signature, ~26,000 per second per core, every node computing the same answer
→ Implemented through liboqs, the audited open-source library the industry trusts. The standard, not a homebrew variant
→ 4,627 bytes vs ECDSA's 64. The graphic shows the full field. Those bytes are the security margin, and the chain was engineered to carry them
HAWK fell in sixty hours. ML-DSA-87 came through untouched, with Anthropic's confirmation that the finalized standards stand. That's the signature NaoX transactions can be signed with, at the strongest level NIST defines.
🚨 JUST IN: @AnthropicAI's Claude AI just cracked a post-quantum encryption candidate that survived 2 years of expert review.
It took the AI 60 hours.
The details 👇
The target: HAWK, a lattice-based signature scheme under review in NIST's post-quantum standardization process.
Claude, working semi-autonomously with one researcher (not even a lattice specialist), found a hidden symmetry in HAWK's lattice that two years of human review missed.
What that symmetry does:
→ Effective key strength: cut in half
→ Attack cost on HAWK-256: 2^64 down to 2^38
→ Key recovery attacks: meaningfully faster
→ Total cost of the discovery: ~$100K of compute
The context that matters:
HAWK is a candidate. Deployed nowhere.
The finalized NIST standards, ML-DSA and ML-KEM, came through untouched.
This is exactly why NaoX was built on the standards that survived the gauntlet, not the candidates still in it.
ML-DSA-87 signing, verified natively by the chain, live today.
AI just made cryptographic scrutiny faster. It also just proved which foundations hold. NaoX is standing on them🔐
Slowly, then suddenly. The world will rely on post-quantum cryptography.
Do you see?
