The free Orthoplastic Camp held @MulagoReferral from 7th–8th October marked a significant milestone, with seven patients benefiting from complex, limb-saving surgical interventions. The camp brought together orthopaedic & plastic surgeons to manage severe trauma, including complex open fractures. Orthopaedic surgeons reconstructed & stabilised the bone, while plastic surgeons managed the surrounding soft tissues—demonstrating the power of multidisciplinary care. Beyond surgery, the camp strengthened local surgical capacity through knowledge exchange and skills transfer.
