Thanks @AveryKaeHoward for making it so clear that we can never go back to the old Newstart rate of $40 a day in this ABC story: abc.net.au/news/2020-04-27/j… We must #RasietheRateforGood with a permanent increase to JobSeeker and Youth Allowance. #RaisetheRate #auspol

I welcome the Prime Minister’s announcement that childcare will be free for children of essential workers. It’s a big relief for a lot of families and my government supports this move 100%. #coronavirus

For people accessing Centrelink for the first time you don't need to go to a Centrelink office to make a claim but you will need to call to get a customer reference number (CRN). The booster payment of $550 will come into effect from April 27. theguardian.com/world/2020/m…

LATEST Update You can lodge an ‘intent to claim’ on MyGov. You don’t need to go to Centrelink or phone. You do not even need to be a registered with Centrelink. Just register on front end of MyGov.
An important decision from the FCA. The entire program should now be scrapped: Federal Court rules robodebt 'unlawful' in significant court case abc.net.au/triplej/programs/…
