The @ionet team just unveiled an exciting new development:
The highly awaited $IO staking program!
Here's the scoop:
▷ Minimum 200 $IO / multiplier
▷ Each GPU gets a unique multiplier (M) from 1-10, based on its capabilities (<1 will be rounded to 1)
▷ For multi-GPU devices (N), the total stake value is calculated as M x N x 200.

The staking mechanism rewards devices that meet the minimum staking threshold with block rewards.
Although development is still in the early stages and ongoing improvements will be made, this represents the final piece of security measures to prevent GPU spoofing and ensure IOG network stability whilst rewarding the providers and $IO stakers.
$IO staking is designed to be fair and transparent. Block rewards are allocated hourly and will be periodically released.

In Phase I, only device owners can stake to their own devices. In Phase II, IONet plan to allow non-node operators to stake $IO and earn rewards.
