If one more person compares the situation in MI with the Uncommitted movement I'm gonna lose it.
Uncommitted was a primary play. By this point in the cycle the Uncommitted leaders were literally running anti-Trump ads.
Stop twisting history to justify your own shitty behavior.

In 2016, a friend confronted Ted Cruz over his anti-Muslim rhetoric. He said not to worry, this is what happens in elections and he had Muslim friends.
He knows what he’s doing. Telling Americans that electing a Muslim could get them killed is calculated, dangerous incitement.
Sen. @tedcruz (R-TX) says that if U.S. Sen. candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) is elected into the Senate and is placed in the Senate Intelligence Committee, "there is a very real risk that Americans will die as a result."

If Netanyahu manages to lose, still far from certain, but if, Trump should move quickly to an Iran deal. Pin the war on Netanyahu. Start a reset in the Mid East. It would be the best thing for Trump politically and the best thing for the world. Rarely do these things align.
Explosive story many years in the making, now out in Vanity Fair by Matthew Cole (who will be on Breaking Points next week, and publishing soon in @DropSiteNews):
Saudi Arabia and the UAE set up multi-billion slush funds for Jared Kushner to use.
Iran-Contra 2 here (except with Iran-Contra, at least the US got some hostages released. Not clear what we got out of this one.)

"The reason I keep bringing up the Palestinians throwing rocks to protect Heidi is because, I mean, I can’t emphasize enough how much these young men are . . . Yesterday, they put their lives on the line. There were soldiers there, and soldiers will shoot when somebody is throwing rocks. These young men put their lives on the line to protect a sixty-three-year-old Jewish American journalist. And, I mean, these guys are heroes. If they were not doing that, so many villages would’ve been overtaken. They are literally the only defense. [On Saturday] I was in a village called Jalud, and the exact same thing happened. We got attacked by settlers, and it was these young men, whom we call the shabab, who fought them back with rocks. And the reason I just want to put a fine point on this is because, for me, just in terms of where things are going with Israel-Palestine politically, I think that a sort of discursive shift in how we talk about Palestinians’ right to defend themselves needs to happen." @infinite_jaz to @IChotiner

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Just talked to the family of Abduljaber Hasan Obeid, the 54-year-old village council member of Abu Falah who was shot by the IDF today during the settler attack. The bullet exploded in his femur. Surgery tomorrow. He is stable, thank God.

Severe settler + soldier attack on olive harvesters in Abu Falah. American WaPo journalist Heidi Levine badly wounded. Machine gunfire—at least one Palestinian shot. Tear gas. Soldiers assaulting journalists.

This will get overshadowed by the attack on an American journalist, but half an hour after Heidi was beaten, the IDF shot a Palestinian man simply standing inside his own village.
Then the soldiers pointed an assault rifle at the paramedics trying to help the victim.

Two straight days of settlers brutally beating Americans in the West Bank—yesterday Haitham Taysir in Burqa, today @washingtonpost journalist Heidi Levine in Abu Falah. Both remain hospitalized, Haitham in the ICU. If this doesn’t force a change in US-Israel policy, nothing will.

This video captures settlers beating Heidi. They clubbed her, kicked her. Pulled her up off the ground to beat her more. Robbed her of all her equipment. If she didn’t have a helmet—and if she was Palestinian—she could be dead.

Ugly moment in USCG history, bragging about helping Trump shut down hospitals in Cuba
Elite capabilities. Coordinated enforcement. Unyielding resolve.
@USCG concluded the successful interdiction of the Motor Vessel (M/V) Grace, following a coordinated international enforcement effort confirming the vessel’s illicit trafficking of fuel to Cuba.
The coordinated actions of the Governments of the United States and Mexico prevented an unregulated fuel transfer in the Caribbean Sea, where deceptive shipping practices, unsafe vessel conditions, and concealed cargoes can increase the risk of oil spills and other pollution incidents that threaten coastal communities, fish stocks, and sensitive marine ecosystems.
