Been chatting with a few local PA friends about politics this week and the overall mood is one of complete apathy and disgust going into the midterms.

People often call me “extreme” and say I’m a “social outcast” who doesn’t “fit in with society.” The society in question:

Lol, Financial audit is wild. Today they have a woman who can't stop cheating on her husband but also the husband is on grinder. She cleans for a living, he doesn't work and their kid is in childcare. Who are these people?

Just a reminder to those who attempt to invoke RenĂ© Girard’s mimetic theory or the Biblical concept of the scapegoat to shield groups from accountability for their destructive behavior: understand that you are fundamentally misapplying the metaphor. In the Levitical law the scapegoat was an innocent animal upon which the sins of the people were symbolically laid; it was inherently blameless. Christ, the ultimate fulfillment of this archetype, was the spotless Lamb of God. He was completely without sin yet sacrificed for the iniquities of others. The structural integrity of the scapegoat mechanism requires the absolute innocence of the victim. Therefore, the concept has zero application when you are pursuing justice against individuals or groups for real-world harms they have demonstrably committed. Enacting judgment upon a guilty party for their specific transgressions is not "scapegoating," it is the administration of justice. Do not confuse the sacrificial lamb with the criminal who is finally being held to account for the ruin he has brought upon our society and nation.

Go out for breakfast >Foreigners everywhere Go to a sports game >Foreigners everywhere Go to the bar >Foreigners everywhere Go to a concert >Foreigners everywhere
As an extrovert, some of these blow my mind. 26% of Americans didn’t go out for breakfast a SINGLE time in 365 days? 54% didn’t go to a sports game and 51% didn’t go to a bar/tavern even once? Even with the increase, 68% of adults didn’t attend a single concert? Are there people out there that just don’t do anything??

JD Vance: "Now the media and the Democrats in the state of Ohio are obsessed because Vivek Ramaswamy had the audacity to run a TV commercial which calls it out like it is and calls Amy Acton a liar"

Being miserable is a choice. You can't control many of the horrible situations we find ourselves in as a nation, but you can control your attitude and how you react to it. Give your miserable mindset to God, have some faith, and keep going.

Turns out the AI doomers were partially right, but the racists (as always) were 100% right. The AI (An Indian) apocalypse has arrived.
It can't be overstated: a random, literal-who Indian company just utterly broke security across a swathe of technology. It's going to be the Wild West for a lot of stuff until it's fully patched. There will be things never patched.

~70% of the internet was just compromised because of an Indian company’s foolishness btw.

🚹 MAJOR SECURITY ALERT 8 certificate authority private keys have been compromised. How bad is it? An attacker holding these keys could impersonate ANY website, including banks, exchanges, or Google, and potentially intercept sensitive communications. The good news: Chrome, Firefox and Apple have already taken action to block the compromised certificates. The bad news: Many apps, developer tools and systems may still trust them. What you should do TODAY: Update your browser, OS and phone. Update desktop apps (Slack, Discord, VS Code, etc.) as patches arrive. Avoid untrusted Wi-Fi until your devices are updated. Only install updates from official sources. Ignore any email offering a "certificate fix". This is a serious compromise of internet trust infrastructure, not just another website hack. Full technical details: emudhra.we-have-a-problem.co

“Elite human capital” strikes again
‌ BREAKING: The private keys of 8 certificates from Indian certificate authority eMudhra were compromised, Mozilla says. Firefox blocked them within 3 hours. Each key should be a 116-digit number, but one was just 4. Anyone can guess them and forge HTTPS certs for any website.

The unforced error by Vivek’s campaign is almost too surreal to believe. A total and complete misunderstanding of the current cultural moment with the Cornell case, the Lindsay Clancy case, etc. Maybe if he didn’t run away from social media he would know this! Unthinkable that anyone on the campaign wouldn’t though. Will go down as one of the biggest unforced errors in American politics.
