After roughly sixteen hours underground, Ray and some of the older boys stacked mattresses, forced the hatch open and dug their way out. Everyone survived. The three men, Frederick Woods and the brothers James and Richard Schoenfeld, came from well-off families and were caught within two weeks. I wonder how much IEPs contribute to the mentality of needing constant exceptions in the workplace School is everyone's introduction into the workplace, in a sense. If you've always been able to have special treatment, of COURSE that would be a difficult, confusing adjustment. To be clear, I'm not anti-IEP, some kids 100% need that sort of thing. But, for example, I came across a kid ranting about how he had an IEP that got him out of pep rallies, they were "too stimulating." Then he was upset that the school didn't provide "alternative, low stimulation entertainment" There are schools where the MAJORITY of kids have an IEP. It's totally unsustainable; you're asking teachers to cater to every student like they're a private tutor ...and we have to admit, some of them are a bit of a stretch
