One of my pet theories is that political leaders are more willing to kill their own populations in wars if they’re foreigners without real affinity to the people dying. Napoleon was Corsican who spoke French with an accent. Hitler was an Austrian who knew multiracial Vienna better than Prussian Berlin. Stalin was from Georgia, and sent millions of Russians to death.
It is not a good idea to let anyone who isn’t rooted at least 3 generations deep anywhere near political power.

American-made products are not impossible. Stories about iPhones costing $37,000 or laptops costing $100,000 are psy-ops, sometimes pushed by foreign adversaries but more commonly by American corporations that want anything but an upset to the status quo.
Palmer Luckey says companies are exaggerating the cost of American manufacturing to justify staying in China: “They don’t want to admit that it is a choice.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳
“I don’t have a lot of sympathy for people who pretend that manufacturing in the U.S. is this impossible, order-of-magnitude problem. A lot of it is very self-serving.
They want to justify why they’re in China. They want to justify why it’s OK for them to stay in China. They know that when sanctions hit as a result of a potential Taiwan conflict, they want to say, ‘Nobody could’ve predicted this, and I had no choice anyway.’
They don’t want to admit that it is a choice.
If Chinese subsidized steel is a third of the price of American unsubsidized steel, a tariff isn’t going to work. But if the price difference really is 30%, then a tariff could bring the American steel industry back.
It’s critically important to get this question right, and there aren’t enough people talking about it.”

With Nation-states, "war" is a temporary condition in which two nations fight until peace is restored.
Under Globalism, "war" is a permanent condition in which the system is constantly fighting everyone it doesn't yet control.

Liberal global order was meant to reduce the frequency of local wars for territory
The consequence is every war becomes an existential battle of great powers
When every country is economically dependent on global trade, a disruption anywhere is a disaster everywhere

We’re at a weird spot in our civilization. It’s somehow simultaneously more and less competent.
The god computer can cure cancer but the nurse doesn’t speak English. The flock camera can find a missing child in 5 minutes but you get robbed by a guy with 30 priors.

Very happy to announce that our team @GoogleDeepmind has pushed the boundaries of generative biology, achieving the successful synthesis of AI-designed proteins that are both functional and watermarked.
This proof-of-concept watermarking of the building blocks of life is enabled by SynthID Bio, our new protein watermarking method. It is designed to safeguard the new era of AI-powered generative biology and strengthen global biosecurity.
You can read my thoughts here on why watermarking AI-designed proteins is an important research breakthrough: xitter.cf/pushmeet/status/210531…

In the early 1900s, communists attempted to infiltrate the Catholic Church. Here was their reason:
“Of ALL the world’s religions, the Catholic Church was the ONLY ONE feared by the Communists, for it was its only effective opponent.” - Dr. Bella Dodd, communist defector.

Also during the 1930s there were not 5,000 PhDs working as janitors in the US. Almost all PhDs back then had actual university jobs despite the Depression. Remembering conversations with my grandparents we are definitely worse off economically in the US now than under Hoover.

98% of new jobs go to women
This is by design
When men get good incomes, they form families
When women get good incomes, they preen, consume and travel
No kids.

The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a marketing stunt. If anything, many executives and senior researchers will couch their phrasing in the press to sound sensible - but I hear the same people express fear privately. No other human activity poses this level of danger.
>sam altman: "we tried this because there were rumor on the internet"
>rumor: math professor close to solving navier-stokes
>the professor: using codex for a year
>openai: has all his logs
>checked every codex session tagged to N-S
>found the most promising one
>spun up 10,000 agents to finish the proof where he couldn't
>they got caught
>told the guy if you say anything you'll destroy your own career
>he ruins his career over this
>openai: "we did not see his work"
>also openai: "we cannot rule out that de-identified data from their usage helped improve our models"
they stole it lmao
>math professor spends a year on one of the hardest unsolved problems in math
>"Navier-Stokes"
>his drafts for the whole project went through codex sessions
>openai had his logs in codex
>suddenly rumor leaks AI solved it
>he emails openai to ask what's going on
>openai calls within days
>"funny story, our model also solved it"
>using his exact approach
>asks openai: did you train on my sessions?
>no answer

The UK has a huge network of CCTV cameras, those cameras weren’t used to stop the rape of tens of millions of white women
They were used to track down and destroy every Englishman that protested those rapes
Why would this be different Curtis?

Creative destruction is an unavoidable reality of free markets, learn to code
Actually, it’s nice that you learned to code but we’re importing Indians to do the job for half the pay
Actually, AI will do that job now but we’re still importing Indians to take your country

Here is the head of the FDA telling the head of NIH that injury reports are flooding in but industry will not "support" any examination of them "for obvious reasons." So, the head of the FDA admits here that industry does not care in the slightest about the numbers of people it hurts. xitter.cf/SenRonJohnson/status/2…

THERE’S MORE: In addition to the texts, @SenRandPaul and I released an email from Dr. Janet Woodcock from May 2021.
Dr. Woodcock emailed Dr. Fauci about personally receiving reports of patients experiencing hard to classify adverse events: “no one takes them seriously, no one knows how to treat them, and there is no effort to study this.”
Oddly, Dr. Anthony Fauci seemed reluctant to respond to her but felt he couldn’t ignore her.
Why wasn’t the public alerted to their concerns? Why did they continue to push and mandate the COVID shot? Why weren’t Americans allowed fully informed consent?
