Virginia had nuked primaries in local statewide races for conventions to nullify the odds a "wacko" becomes the nominee. Youngkin endorsed Sears in a big announcement, she torpedoed her campaign, looked DOA, but it was over.

Vivek’s nomination was not DEI. He is a capable politician and, despite his flaws, far more forward-oriented than many Republicans.
And a loss would harm us in many ways. This is not a moment where we can afford principled stands designed to send a signal, especially if the Dems win the presidency in 2028 where GOP governorships will be critical bulwarks against their agenda. It’s also far from clear his loss would even teach the desired lesson if the GOP suffers an array of midterm losses.
I appreciate the concern that Vivek’s propositional view of American identity gains traction if he wins—and that this is actually compounded if he is effective at New Right priorities. But IMO the solution here is for leaders with stronger views of American identity to build comparable skills, and with broader populist support to influence party direction by driving wins across the right and by virtue of the status they gain, shaping movement aspiration and direction.

Student loan debt is not a partisan issue it’s an American issue. My discharge petition will bring H.R. 2003 Affordable Loans for Students Act straight to the floor and cap federal student loan interest rates at 2%

The man who wrote you a pardon needs her vote to confirm numerous government officials, avoid a third impeachment, maintain ICE’s budget, and potentially nominate 1-2 additional justices to the Supreme Court.

Everyone meet Susan Collins the Republican Senator from Maine.
Just from the time President Trump started his second term, so all recent:
Voted against the SAVE Act to secure our elections.
Voted against the One Big Beautiful Bill to extend tax cuts, fund ICE, and put in Medicaid work requirements for able bodied people.
Voted with Democrats to reverse Trump’s 25% tariffs on Canadian goods.
Voted no on a $9 Billion Rescissions Act that clawed back money previously appropriated to foreign aid and other programs.
During debate on the One Big Beautiful Bill, she voted for a Democratic motion that would have struck the one-year provision barring Planned Parenthood from receiving Medicaid reimbursements. She literally tried to protect the tax dollars flowing to Planned Parenthood.
As Appropriations Committee chair she also resisted some of the deeper cuts the DOGE team recommended for NIH and biomedical research.
Anyone who is a conservative knows that Susan Collins is awful. We used to all agree on that.
Now we are told that we either support Susan Collins or everything is our fault if Democrats get control and destroy our country.
We all know the definition of insanity.
So someone please tell me why a conservative who loves the Constitution should support Susan Collins for re-election.
I'm not giving a Democrat, especially in these times, a free win. As we saw with Winsome Sears, you always have a chance, because if the politician is absolutely horrid, they will defeat themselves.
