Ya I donāt get how people of small market teams especially arenāt getting this point. With a floor and local tv $ revenue sharing, that could be a pretty significant boost.
Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Nashville, Phoenix, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonvilleā¦ to name a few
Floor would need increased revenue sharing tho no? If the little teams have to spend more they could use some of the tv money from LA & New York etc
Ya I thought if Dodgers won, as much as I canāt stand them, thatād help the small market teamās argument a lot. Not that a cap and floor still couldnāt happen if a small market teams wins this year but it will make it a lot tougher.
Ya Brewers are good. Rizzo isnāt saying that. Just would be sucky timing for a small market team to win right before a big chance to help even the playing field for the MLB.

Since the year 2000, only 4 of the 26 WS champs were from small market teams. So the big markets are currently winning at an almost 85% clip. The Rays do have a well run front office that puts them in a nice spot. Saying TB beating the NYY means itās all even tho is just wrong.
