PUMP thots
Basically, I hate Pump for what it represents in crypto, I hate the type of people who like it, who profit from it, and the cultural shift it's caused
However I made it my 3rd biggest bag overnight because it simply won't die
It's managed to last the bear with good revenue (if faked, no one has seemingly been able to provide proof for over a year so I have to assume its potentially real).
The team has managed to survive a vamp attack, led by stonk/ray/sol fdn, and absorb/implement the innovations of that team + more, within like 3 weeks of its launch. (giving uniswap vs sushiswap vibes here)
The biggest PMF for crypto besides stablecoins has been speculation/degeneracy, it broadly comes in 6 forms
the core idea of buying selling tokens (CEXs, DEXs) perps (HL, Lighter), options (HL, derive, but overall a much lower margin and total revenue business), prediction markets (poly, kalshi, HL soon), onchain degeneracy (pump) and maybe gatcha.
Pump will, inevitably, given it's lasted 12 months in cockroach mode, expand into other areas again, while it's core meme/shitcoin business blows up w/ the bullmarket too. The expansion into HL front ends and cutting fees to juice app are both growth plans, and they'll have more stuff to try up their sleeve.
It has mindshare, it has haters, it is discounted vs other degeneracy platforms for mcap vs revenue to token holders (400m rev on 2b mcap vs HL which is 800m rev on 18b mcap).
Seems a no brainer to run to 10b+ mcap, and i'm here to make money so...

that said, I don't really expect our good revenue generations protocols (hype, pump, cards) to suffer an extended downturn, they've already sold off after all and are burning through supply, so fairly comfy in those

Dream set up for anyone that missed buying $PUMP in June/July.
Don't know if we get this lucky but if we do I might have to full port and just finish the challenge on easy mode
PA can be pretty aids I'm down ~$1.2m in the last 12 days but end outcome is obvious
I see people who have given back to the market all the profits they made in recent months.
Remember: in this line of work, it’s not just how much you manage to earn that counts, but above all how much you manage to keep.
When in doubt, your priority must be to protect your capital: reduce your exposure, avoid forcing trades and know when to wait. When, on the other hand, the market is clearly on your side, then you can raise the bar and really capitalise on the opportunities.
You shouldn’t always trade in the same way. You need to know when to defend and when to attack. It is this ability that, over time, makes the difference between a good run and a profitable career.
Always consider the state of the market when taking on new trades. Days like today are a great time to sit on your hands. Trade when the conditions are right.

You know what's absolutely wild about $PUMP?
It's performed incredibly well despite PF making some of the most controversial decisions in crypto.
The livestreaming era was fcking wild. No community airdrop. Callers reportedly making hundreds of thousands promoting $10k market cap shitters, most of the time without even trading the tokens themselves.
Yet despite all the criticism, PF continues to generate enormous revenue and $PUMP has shown serious strength.
There's a pretty uncomfortable lesson here: crypto doesn't always reward the projects with the best morals, the fairest tokenomics or the happiest communities. Sometimes it rewards whoever has figured out how to monetise human behaviour better than everyone else.
And one thing I've learnt after nearly 10 years in crypto?! Gamblers absolutely love to gamble. You can hate the platform and still recognise how powerful its business model is.
We're rolling out a few big changes to the Callout Rewards program over the coming days, starting with today's payout. Here's what to expect:
- Callouts on lowcap tokens will be nerfed. We want callouts to incentivize larger wealth effects that affect more people, rather than only benefiting a small group of sophisticated traders
- Volume will cease to be the main attributer for rewards. The focus will be on what matters most: whether the people that trusted your callout were able to make money or not.
Going forward, your goal should be to lead your followers to victory, otherwise your chances of consistently earning are SIGNIFICANTLY lower.
Win as a team —> win as an individual.

Replying to @J_Dood_
Always have to remind myself that this is a long term commitment. Win some. Lose a lot. Just make sure those losses are managed.

idk who needs to hear this but
if you’re the kind of person to lose your mind because of a -3% pullback,
you’re likely also the kind of person who sells for 2% gain.
[only to then watch the market rally without you]
$MARSCOIN Amazing chart. Retest before pushing above the vah?

Seeing a lot of capitulation on Robinhood Chain this weekend…
Somehow, being bullish on the RHC ecosystem has one again become a contrarian opinion.
Good.

some thoughts for the weekend.
So many people fail to realize there is no framework they can apply to LONG. There is no one central point of failure. There is no "one thing" that can kill LONG because it’s driven by an iterative approach aimed at producing assets that are unique enough to never be fully priced in. The meta itself is a LONG term game.
The biggest issue in the space is a lack of trust and a longer term horizon (even a week), and it makes sense when almost every runner outside of LONG can go to 0 within a day. Don't hate the player hate the game.
We think the biggest category of people in crypto(or at least pattern) want to be long term holders, they also have the biggest potential to change the space. The issue, no one provides a systemic platform with high quality assets and many of them are completely sidelined from most of the activity the trenches had for the past two years.
Globally speaking, we also think the average Joe willing to trade/invest is not a hyper gambler or a meta rotational trader they work 9-5 might have a family and can't just watch the charts 24/7, they mostly allocate into “real” things like 401ks, ETF shares, and HOLDing some stocks and we want to prepare
There are 1000 different things that can kill an asset. Every single thing we did with LONG is designed to mitigate these and make sure a top LONG pair won’t die because of a one bad thing that took place.
The key is balance! There is no perfect setup. It’s iterative:
1. Deep liquidity that makes every pump well deserved while retaining liq for a LONG-term game, but still enables 100x returns.
2. Memetic assets that can drive distribution very fast, but are not just pure memes.
3. Having incredible impact from one dev/team pushing, but balancing that with strong community members who own the vision as well.
4. Making sure that when majors are nuking, it won’t kill the eco by connecting LONG assets to RWAs, but not to the point of losing the benefits of crypto cycles.
5. Aligning with the fastest growing chain we've seen for the past years but also drive our own dist.
6. Having an infinite number of catalysts coming from the stock market, but again, not to the point where there are no crypto narratives baked into it.
7. Being very focused on long-term targets that will take time to achieve, but playing a tactical game every day.
8. Retaining value from extreme hype and attention driven trading, but never overhype.
9. Pushing support to a core pillar like AI as a case study, but not to the point where all other assets are beta(also not king making assets and eventually top them like every "hands-on" launcher failed with in the past)
10. Killing PVP from the inside with all sorts of mechs, but enabling healthy competition between different assets and approaches within the eco.
And the list goes on and on.
It might feel like 5D chess, but it’s really a simple playbook of surviving, moving really fast, iterating gradually, and making progress every day towards the bigger vision.
LONG.
