And the 1st to do it while wearing a #FairBall wristband to support Minor Leaguers.
Have a postseason, Chris!
Thank you @joonlee for giving me a space to tell our story!
And thank you to everybody at @MiLBAdvocates and @mtb_org for their tireless work!!
MLB requiring minor league housing (per ESPN) doesn't happen without multiple guys going on the record, along with more than 20 others who were brave enough to speak out this summer, to The Athletic.
Next up: pay them year round.

MLB owners are worth billions of dollars, but minor league baseball players make just $7/hour, many sleep on the floor in crowded apartments, and they're denied adequate meals.
@Lovegrove19 told us his story.
Really proud of @BaseballRSA’s own @Lovegrove19 for having the guts to speak out, knowing it was likely to cost him his shot.
Thank you @joonlee for giving me a space to tell our story!

MLB has issued the same tone-deaf statement three times since early August when confronted about the gross mistreatment of Minor Leaguers.
The thrust: get off our back, we’re working on it.
Beyond being arrogant, it’s simply untrue.
This could be fixed overnight. #FairBall

If you like baseball, especially minor league baseball, take 5 minutes out of your day and learn what the common experience is for most minor leaguers.
Former CLE minor leaguer Kieran Lovegrove has been brave enough to speak out about pay, food, living conditions and more.
Proud to partner with @MorePerfectUS and @Lovegrove19 in drawing attention to this important issue.
Kieran’s voice is powerful because he is eloquent, and because more than 5,000 players stand behind him.
The treatment of Minor Leaguers must change.

Since then, the Angels have started provided a pregame meal for all of its minor league players.
And last weekend Lovegrove sat down with the Angels GM and director of player personnel for what he described as “overwhelmingly positive dialogue.”

Kieran Lovegrove this year went public with complaints about how the Angels were treating their minor leaguers. Since then, he's seen some encouraging signs.
