Continuing with the deep dive into our farmer survey - today we’re talking about regenerative practices in horticulture. A wide variety of practices supporting the growth of our fruit and veg! #regenerativeagriculture #horticulture #soilhealth @BaseIreland @agriculture_ie

Today we're looking in more detail at what influences regenerative farmers - and Nature and Soil Health come out as clear winners. Almost 98% of respondents told us that concern for nature/soil health was important to them followed by Social and Financial factors. @BaseIreland

Some more results from our farmer survey…this time from the 226 grassland farmers who completed it. We'll continue to following up with more information on the different practices and why farmers use them over the course of the project, so keep following! @BaseIreland

Best wishes to the SoilCycle EIP which launched in Newbridge today. The Project aims to boost nutrient recycling in Irish tillage by applying organic manures in-crop to improve yields, reduce chemical fertiliser use, and cut environmental losses. @teagasc @agriculture_ie

There were 65 arable farmers who told us they were implementing regenerative practices on their farms. We'll be following up with more information on the different practices and why farmers use them over the course of the project so keep watching!

One of the first objectives of Project BASELINE EIP was to get a snapshot of what Regenerative Agriculture looked like in Ireland today. Over the next few weeks we will share our findings. Some of the results might surprise you! @BaseIreland @agriculture_ie
