I 100% agree that nyc public schools face a fiscal reckoning. Declining enrollment and the end of federal stimulus means we need to make cuts. And, there are structural issues that prevent us from delivering a great educational experience for children in this city. 1/7

This year, the NYC Dept of Ed will spend more than $37k per K-12 student with average classroom size of 24. That's $888k per classroom. Just staggering numbers. source: cbcny.org/research/school-sp…
