As part of our winter prep we ran training for our contractors 👍
They practiced installing the Wisbech flood defences and familiarised themselves with the weed removal machine at Bourne Eau and Peakirk Pumping Station.
Both things are vital in times of flooding.

As part of Flood Action Week we will be highlighting some of our many projects.
In Feb we completed a flood risk management scheme at Fowlea Brook.
It reduces flood risk for 333 properties and has unlocked £75 million regeneration opportunities.

Don’t climb, play or swim in or around sluices.🚫
They open and close automatically without warning. When they do, they will sweep you away in a dangerous rush of water. 🌊
Follow safety signage and remember #FloatToLive if you get into trouble. 🛟

If you're tempted to cool off in a river during the heatwave:
🚫 Don't jump in! You can't see what's under the surface, and cold water shock can lead to drowning.
🚫 Stay well away from weirs, locks, pipes and sluices.
🚫 Watch out for boats. It's hard for boaters to see you.

We’ve released around 1,000 grayling into a chalk stream in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
They all came from @FishFarmEA at Calverton in Nottinghamshire and are funded by fish licence sales.
