We’ve walked the path of A-F grading for so long that it sometimes feels inevitable from the perspective of students, parents, employers, and institutions. But does it need to be this way? @BarryFishman @MastTranscript ctt.ec/bXeQP+

Fellow social scientists… if you wanted to teach undergrads about social science research methods/approaches/inquiry logic(s), what would you have them read? Do you have favorite books, articles, or cases to teach with?
Antimatter seems even slipperier than eels!
Replying to @BarryFishman
Very cool. My big undergrad project was a paper on the trapping of nonthermal positrons in metals...No eels at all, but antimatter!
One of my favorite books of all time. Actually wrote my undergrad thesis on it!
#Booksof2022 Graham Swift's 1983 "Waterland" - a kind of myth, deep in a place and time, awash in the flat fenlands of Englan through the 19th & 20th centuries, much concerned w/stories lost and found, and what history means. And eels. Many eels.

Just sold the last of my “real” (SLR) camera equipment b/c I realized that my phone camera is now nearly as good and doesn’t take up half a backpack and weigh 15 pounds when I travel.
But also having SLR separation anxiety. Help!
