Every now and then I just post some song lyrics with no context just because it feels like the right thing to do

A new supermarket opened near my house.
It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it activates, you hear the sound of distant thunder and catch the scent of fresh rain.
When you approach the milk section, you hear cows mooing and experience the aroma of fresh hay.
Near the egg case, hens cluck, and the air fills with the smell of bacon and eggs frying.
The vegetable department features the scent of fresh buttered corn.
I don’t buy toilet paper there anymore.
I for one welcome our new robot overlords
Funny I found this after I already was listening to Sophie Powers
Spotify ranked me in her top 0.6% of listeners in 2025, #641 in the world 😅
Funny, I made a comment the other day about how cursive was part of a classist problem and kids shouldn’t have to learn it today
Did you know that people used to believe that penmanship revealed your moral character and sometimes even personality? In the Victorian era, neat, ornate handwriting was treated as proof of education, discipline, and virtue. Most people today would not pass such tests because they don't write by hand with enough frequency or even use the right tools. In fact, many would have to relearn how to hold a writing instrument in order to produce something like Spencerian script.
This judgment was, of course, a classist proxy. Those fortunate enough to attend school and be drilled in a particular style of writing were deemed of “good moral character.” In reality, they were simply members of a social class taught that the markers of their own group made them inherently better than others.
So ask yourself: if you cannot produce Spencerian script today, are you a bad person? Are you ill‑educated or immoral or even lazy? Obviously not.
If you want to know whether someone is of good moral character, look at how they treat others. Do they take the time to make the anxious feel relaxed? Do they speak well of friends and family? Do they help people in need?
If you want to know whether someone is intelligent, listen to what they have to say. Do they make thoughtful points? Do they show sound judgment and wisdom?
If you judge a person’s deeper qualities based on they dress or write, you are not discerning. You are simply superficial and likely not very intelligent.
When my wife and I first started dating she said none of the other men she knew had hobbies.
Painting
Drawing live subjects
Semi-competitive beach volleyball
Has his own karaoke setup
Hosting guys night for poker
This is just one guy in that same friend group. I guess she just didn’t see other men’s hobbies
You’re a dreamer, call me when you’re Bieber
And when the play it you can’t help but sing along, that’s nothing odd that’s nothing wrong
Cause a good song never dies
What’s your demographic?
Do you like pussy?
