I bought the hype the first time I saw @jordantrav13 throw a 15 yard crossing route in a Spring game (someone please share that video) I bought the hype when JT came in against Louisville and ran his first touch for a TD. I bought the hype when I was sitting in the stands and JT/Milton played a top ranked ND to a tie in regulation. I bought the hype when I put money down for FSU moneyline in New Orleans at the sports book against LSU. I bought the hype when FSU boat raced LSU in Orlando. I bought the hype when I watched FSU finish a 13-0 season from the stands in cold and rainy Charlotte. I bought the hype while sitting in the stands and watching us go for two in Ireland on our opening drive. I bought the hype when I picked FSU to beat Bama at home in writing on X for everyone to see. I’m broke now. I can’t buy any more hype. I’m bankrupted on hype. The bank has repossessed my hype. Stanford last year broke me. Almost as much as the snub. I. Just. Don’t. Care. The sport is going to be a series of one and done teams. No more dynasties. No more recruiting glory. No more watching a player slowly develop over three years. Add the conference wars to the mix and I just can’t invest emotionally anymore. I’ll watch the games. I’ll cheer. I’ll high five the FSU fan next to me. I’ll even give you a “Go Noles” in the airport. But don’t ask me for my time, money, or emotional investment. Fix the portal, fix NIL, fix recruiting, and I’ll see how I feel in 2030.
