Gotta love how @Sportsnet has pushed hockey viewers away by making a special night and extra subscription to sportnet+ for a ridiculous $35/mo for games that were always available with the ridiculous subs that already came with satellite tv.This isn’t how you grow the game @NHLPR
Listening to Flames on @SportsOn770 and watching NFL. There’s zero point paying a dish sub to @Bell going forward. Rather support @SteinbergYYC and crew
Who’s the top performing canola variety? Or other?

So if Saskatchewan is done with growing lentils and Manitoba northern Sask shifting acres away from Canola what crop fills the gap? Feels like both Lentil and Canola prices will need to go up from here
After loading some semis this harvest that were fob it’s extremely scary where we are at. Inexperienced first time drivers with no idea how to load a semi properly as companies look to pinch $ this is not the safe alternative. If you’re a company reading this, hire legit truckers!
Think about this.
Instead of the government of Canada giving $30 billion to Ukraine they could have built a brand new state of the art refinery that processes 1 million barrels of heavy oil.
Your cost of fuel would be cut in half.
But hey, laundering money is cool too I guess.

If Canada had built Energy East and Keystone XL we would have been bringing in $277 million per day or about $99 billion annually in additional revenue at current oil prices.
How do we blame Trump for this staggering failure?

Meaningful new #wheat development: Russia has damaged a bridge in the Odesa region that Ukrainian Railways says will significantly restrict grain movements toward Ukraine’s Danube export ports. Why this Matters:
Danube corridor is precisely the fallback route Ukraine has been relying on while Black Sea port/shipping capacity disrupted. $WEAT

So.. I spent all day figuring out how these rising fuel costs are impacting farmers during harvest. What I found is very alarming. These rising fuel costs need to end. This is just for ONE combine. Not even trucks, grain carts, or grain drying.
Few notes:
1. I took a Class 7-8 combine and used 70L/hr as an average baseline.
2. For 2025, I used $1.10/L for bulk farm fuel. For 2026, I am using an estimate of the increase due to the cost at the pump getting up to $2.10/L today.
3. I used 8 hours of harvest a day (would be nice!) and a 30-day harvest.
4. This is an extremely variable calculation due to conditions in the field and yields.
5. Imagine if I would've ran the numbers using an X9's fuel consumption....

Next Tuesday the 15% tariff goes on all parts for my combine
I have no alternative but to pay it as it’s the middle of harvest and I need to keep running
Our leaders need to get back to the table and figure this out soon as it costs consumers on both sides of the border – at Trochu, Alberta

So... it seems that "end of the month profit taking" in #wheat is over, and funds bought the close strongly.
Limit up tomorrow? 😉

Have not grown Canola since L140p era, going to need to do some research to narrow a variety or 2 down to try again. Who’s the new top dog? Does Pioneer have anything to compete with the invigor yields/pod shatter
Holy 💩 did yesterday’s wind do damage to the crop, the cereals look greyish white scorched to death. Took more yield than the heat. Will be lucky if it’s half of last years yields now
