ALT Astrophotograph of the Horsehead and Flame Nebulae in Orion, captured with an Askar FRA600 telescope and a ZWO ASI6200MC Pro camera. Total exposure: 4 hours 45 minutes from the city, without a filter, using a diffraction spike mask. Just right of centre, the dark Horsehead silhouette rises against a glowing pink nebula. To the left, the orange and rose-coloured Flame Nebula is threaded with branching dark dust lanes. Above it, Alnitak shines with long, cross-shaped diffraction spikes. Blue reflection nebulae, wisps of brown dust and countless white, blue and golden stars complete the scene.

ALT Wide-field photograph of the Andromeda Galaxy, M31, surrounded by countless stars against a dark sky. Its elongated disk stretches diagonally from lower left to upper right. A luminous cream-gold core gives way to intricate brown dust lanes and faint, subtly blue outer spiral arms that fade into the background. Two companion galaxies are visible: compact M32 just above and left of the core, and the softly glowing, oval M110 below and slightly to the right. Scattered blue and amber foreground stars add gentle colour to the expansive field. Captured with a William Optics UltraCat 56 telescope and a ZWO ASI6200MC Pro camera.

ALT The Pleiades star cluster (M45) amid a dense field of white, blue and golden stars. Bright blue stars illuminate delicate clouds of interstellar dust, with fine, wispy filaments sweeping through the centre and lower part of the image. Fainter dust fades into the dark background. Prominent cross-shaped diffraction spikes were deliberately created using a diffraction mask. Photographed from my balcony with an Askar FRA600 and a ZWO ASI6200MC Pro, with a total exposure time of 5 hours (100 × 180s)

ALT The Pleiades (M45) in a wide, portrait-oriented star field. Bright blue-white stars are surrounded by delicate blue reflection nebulae. Fine, wispy structures weave between the stars, with an extended veil of nebulosity stretching downward. Numerous smaller white and orange stars dot the dark background. Captured with the Seestar S30 Pro in equatorial mode: 137 × 30-second exposures

ALT Close-up H-alpha view of the Sun, with the curved solar limb filling the left side of the frame. Fine chromospheric texture, dark filaments and several active regions are visible across the surface, while a bright prominence extends beyond the limb on the right. captured with Coronado Solarmax iii ASI178MM

ALT The Whirlpool Galaxy (M51) against a dark field of stars. Blue spiral arms curl around a bright, warm core, traced by intricate brown dust lanes. Its smaller, golden companion lies to the right, surrounded by faint, diffuse light. Captured with an Askar FRA600, ZWO ASI585MC Pro, and AM5 mount. 77 × 180-second exposures, totalling 3 hours 51 minutes.

ALT Wide-field view of the Sadr region in Cygnus. Glowing red hydrogen nebulae weave around dark, branching dust lanes against a dense field of stars. Bright Sadr sits below the centre, while the small Crescent Nebula stands out on the right as a pale, curved shell. Captured with a William Optics UltraCat 56, ZWO ASI6200 MC pro camera, Optolong L-Ultimate filter, and ZWO AM5 mount. Exposure: 66 × 300 seconds, totalling 5 hours 30 minutes.
