Great message
Youths, don’t let pressure convince you that you have failed. You are not poor, you are still on the road to prosperity. Don't dare give up.

Bank Of Uganda executives are given 20year loans at 0–3% interest rates, same people then advise you to borrow from commercial banks at interest rates b'tn 17%-30% to invest/start businesses and after, compete with them in the market! Remember to slap a motivational speaker

Farmers, take note
Some regions are still waiting for good rains, but coffee farmers, this is the time to prepare. Weed your garden now so that when the heavy rains come, they find clean coffee. It’s flowering time. Mulch where possible and don’t let weeds compete for moisture and nutrients.

This is key. Banks are relying on crop calendars provided by insurance companies. This is misguiding the entire chain.
Our policymakers & banks, I have a message for you. Changing coffee seasons are changing cash-flow cycles. @MAAIF_Uganda @ITCnews @EnabelinUganda @BOU_Official @mofpedU @henrymusasizi1 @FGoloobaMutebi The arabicas in Elgon, Rwenzori & Kigezi are harvesting earlier and simultaneously. That means exporters need more working capital at once and farmers may finish earning earlier, leaving a cash gap when school fees fall due in Feb. Climate resilience must therefore include financial resilience: flexible agricultural working capital for businesses and responsible microfinance for farmers, designed around actual harvest cycles and not fixed calendars. Agriculture is changing. Our financial products and policies must change with it. #UgandaCoffee #AgricultureFinance #ClimateResilience #FinancialInclusion

Good notes
17 AGRICULTURAL LAWS TO KNOW 1. Never target high seasons; high seasons come with their own challenges. Be a farmer, not a gambler. 2. Choose at least two main crops and a crop rotation plan. Switching from one crop to another is not directly in your pocket. 3. Plan your farm and always have crops at different stages of age to ensure a constant supply. 4. No crop is profitable in itself; just master the advantages and disadvantages of a particular crop. 5. Having a lot is not a guarantee for successful farming. 6. Have a spraying and fertilizing plan and stick to it. 7. Never follow the advice of agro-veterinarians and agrochemical sales agents. Most of them are salespeople, not agronomists. 8. Try as much as possible to reduce agricultural expenses without compromising the quality of products. 9. Never hold onto a product if it is perishable. Sell it at prevailing prices. 10. Never plant a new seed on a large scale before testing it, unless you have seen it somewhere. 11. Never entrust your million-dollar idea to a farm worker; make sure you are present during critical stages of crop development until commercialization. 12. Never employ a close family member to manage your farm; most of them will let you down. 13. If you are neighboring farmers, plant the same crop. 14. Never apply agricultural information you get online without consulting your agronomist. 15. Always have a farm plan. 16. Old is always good. Most old seed varieties and chemicals will never disappoint you. 17. Passion in agriculture Agriculture forever.

The Data Gap. International lenders look for climate-resilience and clear cash-flow tracking. Local farmers often focus purely on yield. To unlock global ag-tech money, we need to bridge this data gap first. That's my opinion. What's yours?

Lending is a lot like Mikel Arteta's tactical setup. You can't just invest heavily in the frontline (the crop). You have to fund the defensive structure—the supply chain, storage, and risk mitigation. No structure, no trophies

People of Tooro may have won the case here
The Learned Attorney General has thrown a spanner in King Nyabongo’s wheels. The King’s will can’t just be wished away; it has to be followed and if there’s a contest over its authenticity, the same can only be resolved by the courts. The Tooro constitution was suspended and remains as such. Now the Babiito simply have to pull the move that Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema pulled; for the next 9 days, lock the courts and block that inevitable petition. The rest of us commoners will grab copious amounts of popcorn, sit by a crater lake in Kasenda and take in the action.
