I liked that it was a love story, not a romance. For me a romance can be about two people drawn to each other by all sorts of externals. This story has the threads running thru it of family love, and reality and struggles of true sacrificial love.
Charles Marten has been a favorite of mine for years. I had not read all of the Murphy Shepherd series. These should be read as a series. But I enjoyed the book. The subject of kidnapping and human trafficking is hard to read, even though Charles Marten does a good job.
Michelle Shocklee's newest novel - ALL WE THOUGHT WE KNEW was very memorable read. Nostalgic for me because Vietnam years I was a teenager.
All my Secrets is Lynn Austin at her best. I love the 3 generations of secrets, sorrows, and lost opportunities. Best character is the elderly grandmother, and her desire to influence her granddaughter as she faces a crucial time in her life. Junietta begins disclosing secrets.
Underground Library- Jennifer Ryan
I love books, so any story about a library and specific mention of characters from novels catch my interest. I appreciate that the language was kept clean. I like a clean story and I like history. better than romance.

Pepper Basham has talent for blending murder, mayhem and romance. This story was filled with twists and turns, humor and some rather unexpected surprises. I like that the some of the same characters from Cairo Curse reappear here. There were a multitude of characters

Cool temperatures and light rain showers have been with us this morning. We're expecting a South Rim High today of 64°F (17°C). Drier and warmer weather returns Sunday and lasts into next week. #AZWX

ALT two family groups, a total of 9 people wearing rain jackets are ascending a switchback on a backcountry trail. It is raining, the trail is muddy, and fog blocks a view of the landscape.
World War 2 was thrust upon Warsaw residents with brutality and terror for all who lived there. Amanda Barratt has again shown us inhumaneness met with heroism. Women who risked all for others, wearing no uniform, yet deserving medals.
This was a compelling story. All the elements I love, gripping characters, romance that is love, not fluff. Just perfect.

This was a fun story. Pepper Basham is a CF romance writer and I am usually not into reading romance. I would call it a love story, light, terrifically fun love-story.
