Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. There are no excuses for sexual violence, organisations are accountable. Safety cannot be taken for granted. It is more than checking boxes and we support the Spanish women’s football team

“The power imbalance is so strong that athletes are helpless, they have no where to turn and (…) if they do speak up, there is retribution” @RobKoehler2 @CTVNews

I'm disgusted by the public actions of Luis Rubiales. I stand by @Jennihermoso and the Spanish players. Winning a World Cup should be one of the best moments in these players' lives but instead it's overshadowed by assault, misogyny, and failures by the Spanish federation.

While we wait to see what FIFA does in Spain, remember the precedent they set in Argentina, where FIFA ruled against five women who all accused their coach of misconduct
FIFA’s female investigator found him culpable - but its all-male panel overruled her

#EnglandLionesses or Spain will receive $37.8 million less than the men's World Cup champions if they win.

Let's celebrate @Lionesses and @SEFutbolFem but also fight for these women to be paid the same amount as men for doing the same job.
Please sign my petition to demand that FIFA equalize the pool of World Cup prize money.

#Spain is headed to the #WWC final! Although the Spanish National team reached an equal pay agreement last year, many players were displeased with working conditions.
Please sign my petition in support safe working conditions for women footballers.

❕UNEQUAL PAY❕
From soccer, to basketball, to cycling, women are consistently underpaid or not paid at all for their jobs as professional athletes.

Unequal pay is so pervasive, and women so undervalued, that a recent survey by FIFPRO found the majority of women at the World Cup don’t consider themselves professional athletes.
