Shocking videos and images are coming out of France. Historic buildings have been destroyed, hundreds of police officers have been injured, and enormous material damage has been caused amid the escalating vandalism and violence of recent days. In the face of this senseless destruction and unjustified violence, perhaps it is now clear to everyone why Hungary advocates the strictest possible approach to migration, and why we will not weaken our border protection or immigration policy under any pressure. I am glad that the current EU summit has made it clear that the overwhelming majority of European countries have woken up and want to break with the permissive policies of the past. We hope it is not too late. Let there be no doubt: peaceful and lawful protest is one thing; vandalism and violence are quite another. The former is a fundamental right; the latter is a serious crime. The Europe we all love is in serious trouble today. It is our responsibility, too, to help preserve our continent as the most wonderful place in the world for our children and grandchildren. Europe can count on Hungary. I express my full solidarity with the French people.

The Anglophone world celebrates the centenary of the word “hello.” On 18 October 1826, the word “hello” entered the English language. Now, it’s everywhere. There are people alive today who existed in a world before “hello.”

Quebec City was the capital of New France, a French royal colony for 150+ years under Henri IV, Louis XIII, Louis XIV and Louis XV until the Treaty of Paris (1763). Louis XIV made it a royal province in 1663, sent troops against the Iroquois and settled the St. Lawrence. The forces under Montcalm who fought to keep it from Britain served Louis XV, who ruled by divine right. After 1763 the British Crown became sovereign of Quebec. From George III to Charles III, ten monarchs have ruled Quebec. Disloyalty or political inconvenience does not change that record.
En ce qui me concerne, le Québec n’a jamais eu de Reine et ni de Roi !

Saddam Hussein emails a random American citizen, Christopher Love of Pennsylvania, who tried to contact Hussein earlier this month, to express his personal condolences for the September 11 attacks. “Dear brother in the family of mankind,” the email reads in part, “I am presenting my condolences to you. God has created us, and to God we return. May you have a long life.”

I still believe that an AfD government in Germany would be miles worse than a Le Pen presidency in France.

Scrolling Twitter right now is very bad for my psyche, every tweet on my timeline is either a video of some small business owner getting his life ruined by pillagers or leftist zoomers praising the pillaging because muh French Revolution was violent so we have to destroy society

French and German politics can be extremely frustrating for Eastern Europeans. We need the Germans bc they drive our economy, innovation. We need the French for the same reasons, plus—crucially—their nuclear arsenal. But we’re powerless to stop them from destroying themselves.

I grew up around Paris. These riots and parts of the immigrant population that absolutely hates France due to marxists views of the colonisation history is nothing new. Business as usual. I was in some riots myself but I was protesting peacefully as a high schooler. I went mostly for fun and to go to the city with friends coming from the suburbs. I don't know why we tolerate these colonisers and this lack of respect. Well I know, far left people that control the education system and the media. Nevertheless the biggest risk to France remains the debt and the boomers collecting a growing part of the GDP each year with pensions.

When there are riots in Europe, two groups rejoice: the European left and the American right.

under soviet planning moscow ended up denser at its edges than in its center, because without land prices nobody could tell where people actually wanted to live. anyway your city’s zoning map is also a committee deciding where people should want to live
