God’s didn’t design His economy like a buffet where you can only partake if you have the means to pay. He designed it like a potluck where everyone brings whatever they can, everyone shares without compulsion, and everyone goes home filled and satisfied.
Tackling the most critical and urgent issues is guaranteed not to be easy. However, it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t tackle them. Here are my thoughts on why investing resources on solving the most critical issues is important…even when it’s hard.

As leaders of any realm, we must remember that we are called to lead, not to rule. There is only one true King. Bearing that in mind, we will be able to keep our minds clear, our hearts pure, and our direction straight.
Consistency breeds trust. In this picture are two Dole ads that are decades apart. If what you’re offering is all-natural and good for people’s health —- there is no reason to hide it.
During this time of pandemic when we are all reminded that health truly is wealth, it’s good to be part of a company that has been consistently delivering its promise for the last 170 years. #HonestyisRefreshing
Read this today in a book - “ We control most of the decisions of most of our employees because we’re worried about what might go wrong if we don’t. We’re designing our organisations for our worst people, then we’re shocked when our best people don’t thrive in them.”
I heard this definition of capitalism in a podcast which resonated with me. “Capitalism is a system in which people make money by serving other people”. I truly believe that capitalism, when it’s run as it’s intended to, is about service and not about greed.
The Bible in Corinthians tells us to “run the race in such a way as to get the prize”. So how come a lot of people think that Christianity is incompatible with being competitive and trying to be the best in the world in what you do?
I firmly believe that whoever you are and regardless of how, where, and what you were born into - you were born to slay giants. To slay giants, you need to be willing to put in the work; you need to be able to sacrifice in order to be the best version of yourself you can be.
This article highlights that “good” automation makes certain low-value added jobs obsolete but creates new jobs in turn. However, the jobs that good automation creates are high-value added jobs eg. Robot Technicians, AI Programmers.

What then happens to the blue collar workers that get displaced? We need to prepare for a systematic way to re-skill workers on a massive scale. People need to be open to redefine work and re-skill themselves to. #learntoearn #WorkBase
The rapid progress of AI, natural language processing and process automation combined with the opportunity given to firms this pandemic to rethink their entire value chain will redefine work as we know it.

The service sector in the Philippines represents 61% of GDP and employs 57% of the workforce. The use of automation and AI to replace human labor in this sector will mean that employment won’t be going back to pre-pandemic levels.
As work is being redefined as we know it, there needs to be concerted effort by the government, industry, and the populace to redefine the worker too. It’s not too late but we must start NOW. #emergentinvesting #workbase #learntoearn
Given this disruption, we need a solution to provide livelihood to millions of Filipinos and fast. Those of us with the knowledge, skills, and capital to provide livelihood today must try to do so. Otherwise, we should prepare to face pitchforks.
It’s not what you have but what you do with it. However, please remember that to whomever much js given, much is expected in return.
There are so many big, urgent problems that are left unsolved that were made even more urgent by the pandemic. Hunger, Liquidity, Livelihood, Learning — who’s going to do something about them?
The answer is those of us who can do something —- should. This is not the time to stand in the sidelines and be an armchair critic. Put your skills, experience, and money where your mouth is. #emergentinvesting
