I’ve played a lot of Web3 games all the way to the end.
Most die for the same reason..the team never actually played as a player.
Once you do, the path is obvious. Design around the player first, then figure out how to return capital without gouging them.
You still need to make money, but it should fund the game, not kill it.
Too many just launch a coin, pump it, and let a solid game rot.
If you’re building a game in Web3, itch.io has been the best place I’ve found to grab full assets or solid test assets.
I’ve been using it as a placeholder until I can afford artists, but tools like studio.tripo3d.ai with Astra are closing that gap fast.
The tools are finally here. The next wave of gaming is coming 😏.
Web3 gaming still isn’t catching steam because too many teams chase money first instead of building a genuinely fun game.
Customer experience and fun should be the first thought. Reward players with Play-to-Earn next.
Making money comes after. You need to return capital, but when that’s the only focus, most games die in 6 months.

I don’t think people realize how practical vibe coding gets once you actually start using it.
In the last couple months, I’ve rebuilt and moved my artist website over to Vercel and saved around $180/year (only paying for domain name, one time payment of $30 a year).
Built a photo enhancer for fixing botched shots instead of paying $40–60/year for an app I used,
And now I just rebuilt a repo for a tool I was paying $15/month for, so there’s another $180/year saved.
All of that from 2 months of GPT Pro for Codex, which cost me around $60.
I’ll tell ya I’m not l just messing around with AI out here,
I’m cutting costs, building my own tools, and replacing subscriptions with stuff I actually own! 😁😄🙌.

Just discovered @GrilliotTodd 's pixelengine.ai and holy shit.
For the longest time ive been trying to flesh out a game and if your not an animator, the sprite sheets can really throw you for a loop.
I followed the instructions on how to generate an image on GPT, move it into the editor to properly pixelate, then similar to a GPT prompt was able to say what I wanted my character to do.. and viola. Animated.
Actually shocked how easy this was for how good it looks.
It's a credit based system, but you get a few free generations to try it out (which you should).
Highly recommend.
