Out today. A super pleasure to mix four of the songs on this album-the rest beautifully done by Sean O’Brien. Go find it.
A few more thoughts on release day from a while back. The love today has been Palpable. Thank you ❤️
That they trusted in me and the songs meant that the least I could do was put everything I had into something that would be worthy of their sacrifice.
I write all this, not to admit that Balto is dead - I really do think we’ll ride again, maybe next year, maybe the year after - but simply to explain why for the last 2 years I didn’t have the heart to put this record out.
New record out today. Many thoughts, but for now... just links and love - balto.bandcamp.com/album/no-…

A lesser seen aspect of Russia’s crackdown has been the effort to crush committed rights activists like Bahrom Hamroyev, whom I have known & worked w/ for years, who became a political prisoner too for his work to assist Russia’s most vulnerable community: Central Asian migrants
Russia: Uzbek human rights activist Bahrom Hamroyev sentenced to 14 years in prison on terrorism charges. Based in 🇷🇺 for a long time, Hamroyev is known for his defense of dissidents and migrant workers. He’s closely worked with Memorial Human Rights Center, banned as of 2021. Hamroyev has been behind bars since February 2022.
