Rather too keen on old Citroens. @ClassicBuyer Production Editor and one half of the @classicsworlduk podcast. Did a blog that's now becoming fossilised

What I imagine will be the last fair-weather, roof-open run in the 2CV for a while

129 years ago today (10 August 1893) Rudolf Diesel’s first prototype diesel compression-ignition engine, a single 10-foot iron cylinder with a flywheel at its base, ran on its own power for the first time. bit.ly/2aLlBHS #OnThisDay #Throwback #diesel

Natural car ventilation/cooling is a lost art on many modern cars. The Series Landy is a masterclass - I'd forgotten just how effective the safari roof is - it's like having a/c that works even when the engine's not running.

And yes, I'm ripping open that can of worms in the Old Land Rover Scene of 'is it called a Tropical Roof or a Safari Roof?' It's always the Safari Roof to me. Come at me h8ers...

My first £200p+/litre fill up. Made doubly ludicrous by it being done putting VPower in a Series Land Rover - an engine designed for fuel which virtually came with a head of foam.

Could this be Cowgate / King St? One things for sure, the street doesn’t work. Pizza restaurants spilling out, but obstructing pedestrians. Wheelchair users in the road. Cars littered everywhere. Cyclists unsure what to do. @peterboroughtel @PboroughMatters @paulbristow79
Like so many public plazas across the Netherlands, De Plaats in The Hague was once filled with parked cars. The historic nature of these cities did not preclude them from succumbing to the automobile. But critically, they've spent the past few decades correcting those mistakes.

Hi @virginmedia - if you're going to employ customer service reps in overseas call centres, can you at least do them (and us!) the service of providing them with a decent quality phone line and some language training? It's awkward and frustrating for both of us!

This is fantastic- and includes a rare sighting of a Mini Van with 'Alvis' on the side.

For some reason, the powers that be decided to get me to do a twin-test video in which I champion a car I've never driven before against a car that I actually own. Madness. But as mad as a Honda that thinks it's a Rover? Maybe. youtube.com/watch?v=wTv6kLcE…
