nigerian music is so interesting man, just found out nigeria had a thriving psychedelic rock scene in the 1970s & it’s crazy how nobody talks about it.
OFEGE were a band of secondary school students aged 15-17 from OBALENDE, LAGOS. combining traditional west african melodies with western sounds and its a gem. trust me you’ll love it if you give them a listen.

Meanwhile, their royals are getting drunk, doing drugs, getting shit faced and leaving their toddlers unattended in busy streets in West London.
Religious fundamentalist judgment, as always, is reserved for the plebeian.

Idk as a teenager I was asking my daddy for money. In no way, shape or form should women be advocating for teenaged girls to be begging teenaged boys for money. Teenaged girls are not supposed to adapt to prostitution adjacent lifestyles.

Brighton qualify for the Champions League and so next season, Zadok Yohanna, who is named after the biblical priest Zadok, will walk out to the Champions League anthem which is loosely based on Zadok the Priest, a song composed by Handel for the coronation of George II.

This is the reason Dr Bosun Tijani blocked me.
I quoted his NUCAP post with my experience as a project coordinator on similar MTN/Huawei rural sites in the past, and asked what would be different this time. He blocked me instead of replying.
If a sitting minister under President Tinubu can’t take constructive criticism from a young Nigerian, tell me if this country is getting better anytime soon.
This is not a new project. As far back as 2015, MTN and Huawei already had something similar called MTN Rural Telephony, and that was before bandits became this widespread.
I was a project coordinator on some of those sites. The biggest setback was always security in these remote areas. Almost all the backup batteries were stolen. Technicians were often 12–24 hours away, and many sites weren’t accessible by road.
Some towers stayed down for days or even months because of community issues. There were cases where security guards were killed when robbers came for the equipment.
These projects are extremely expensive to maintain. That’s why I’m not sure why the government is taking on the role of running them directly. Private operators already struggled with exactly these problems.
What will be different this time?

Saudi Arabia has the biggest economy in the Middle East, and one of the world's most expensive military arsenals. So why is it so vulnerable to attacks from the Houthis, the Yemeni rebel group? I asked Bernard Haykel, professor of Near Eastern studies at Princeton:

Cette romantisation obsessionnelle de la criminalité m’écœure. Cette manie de trouver à chaque crime une excuse sociologique, comme si la misère conférait au criminel une quelconque noblesse, relève d’une véritable complaisance morale. C’est vraiment un fléau universel.

Delta, Chase and Amazon are blocking AI agents.
The war on agents has begun, and here’s how it probably plays out:
Stage 1: Companies block agents because agents skip the ads and upsells.
Stage 2: Agents learn to act like humans, and it becomes an arms race.
Stage 3: The market splits. Companies that make money on sales let agents in, companies that make money on data charge for access, and the giants build their own agents.
Stage 4: A trusted middle layer for agent identity and payments becomes the standard way in.
Stage 5: Companies that welcome agents start winning customers from the ones that block them.
Stage 6: The agent blockers come back and let agents in on their own terms.
Stage 7: Everyone starts competing for agents with better prices, faster checkout and SEO built for agents.
Stage 8: The ads come back, and companies pay to be your agent’s first recommendation.
Stage 9: The agent war ends, and selling to agents becomes as normal as having a website.
notice..
> Delta is blocking AI agents from booking flights
> JPMorgan Chase and Charles Schwab block agents from accessing accounts
> Yelp requires paid data licensing for agents
> Amazon has blocked Grok bot and other shopping agents.
the internet is starting to block AI agents that were supposed to do everything for us
