Thank you to everyone who read, challenged and voted on both proposals.
Full proposal, and updates as the wind-down moves forward

If you hold BAL, there's nothing to do yet. From the end of May 2027, you can burn BAL for a pro rata share of the treasury, with the exact date announced at least two weeks ahead. tetuBAL holders will receive BAL equal to 50% of what's locked behind their tokens.
None of this happens before then, so any site or DM offering to redeem BAL now is a scam.
If you provide liquidity on Balancer, you can withdraw at any time, before or after these dates. The contracts are non-custodial, so this doesn't depend on Balancer operating.
Guides for exiting through the app, third-party tools or directly onchain will be published before October 30th.
Key dates:
-> October 16th: last day for partners to ask for specific V3 pools to stay live until November 30th
-> October 30th: pools move to withdrawals only where the contracts allow it, and bug bounty coverage ends
-> November 30th: the V3 Vault is paused
-> End of May 2027: the first treasury distribution round opens
Voting ends today at 6PM UTC.

Two votes will decide Balancer's future.
BIP-928 proposes an orderly wind-down that distributes the treasury to BAL holders, and BIP-929 an official fork that carries the technology forward under a new name. Both are live on Snapshot until Tuesday, September 29th at 6PM UTC.
Here's what will change and how to cast your vote.

sdBAL holders can vote on @Balancer governance as usual through Stake DAO.
Two BIP proposals are live until September 28:
↳ BIP-928 Orderly Winddown of Balancer, ends 18:24 UTC app.stakedao.org/governance/…
↳ BIP-929 Fork and Reincarnate, ends 18:00 UTC
app.stakedao.org/governance/…
Both proposals were posted twice. If you voted on an earlier version, your vote will not count, so please vote again using the links above.

There is no treasury claim today. If BIP-928 passes, redemption opens at the end of May 2027 and will be announced at least two weeks ahead.
Voting on Snapshot is free and never asks you to approve tokens or send funds. Beware of scammers that will offer to claim or redeem BAL now - nobody from Balancer will DM you first.
How voting works:
-> 1 BAL, 1 vote, on any of the seven chains where BAL is deployed
-> On Ethereum, the BAL inside 80/20 BAL/WETH counts too, including positions still in veBAL locks
-> If you delegated, your delegate votes with your BAL
Each proposal needs 5M BAL of votes to reach quorum, including Abstain votes.
BIP-929, from @maxyz_xyz, is a regular Yes or No on launching an official fork of Balancer as a new protocol.
-> Pools keep running with no pause before Q2 2027, so there's time to migrate
-> Liquidity, contributors, partners and IP can move to the fork

One nuance when reading the BIP-928 result:
The two "Yes" options differ only on how much tetuBAL holders receive, 50% or 100% of the BAL behind their tokens. Snapshot shows them as separate bars, but they count as a single Yes. The bigger of the two then sets the tetuBAL share.
Say the result looks like this:
-> No: 40%
-> Yes, with tetuBAL at 50%: 35%
-> Yes, with tetuBAL at 100%: 25%
"No" has the biggest bar, but "Yes" wins 60% to 40%, so the proposal passes with tetuBAL at 50%.
BIP-928, from @Marcus_Balancer, would wind Balancer down in phases.
-> Pools start moving to withdrawals only on October 30th, with some partner V3 pools staying live until November 30th
-> From the end of May 2027, holders can burn BAL to redeem a pro rata share of the treasury, paid in its non-BAL tokens
-> The BIP-919 buyback is cancelled
