Incredibly sleazy and irresponsible. Good to know it’s open season for anyone to do anything and blame their enemies and then put the burden on said enemies to condemn the thing they had nothing to do with. Healthy and workable standard moving forward.
Today, I received a threatening letter at my Grand Rapids, Michigan office that contained unidentified white powder. The letter, which claimed to be from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), made a direct and specific reference to an impending “civil war” beginning after the election. The letter sent to my office is similar to those received at other congressional offices across the country. The DSA has not yet addressed the attacks, either to condemn them or to take or deny responsibility. The Grand Rapids Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) responded immediately.
Threats and extremism are not signs of strength—they are signs of a weak mind and weak character. Political intimidation has no place in our democracy, and leaders must condemn it, not excuse it. I’ll keep standing up to bullies on the right and the left.

Among all the other stuff, people apparently don't appreciate how grievous it is to put someone in prison for just one year, let alone two or three. Prison is serious and even the lowest penalties should be reserved for serious violations of other people's most certain rights.

The bill would establish a Dept of Community Safety, abolish ICE and CPB, close Guantanamo, and significantly curtail govt surveillance.

Amsterdam police seized a server from Italian internet service provider Autistici/Inventati, acting on a request from the United States. The Trump administration sanctioned the organization earlier this year for providing services to left-wing groups.

"The application of counterterrorism sanctions to an organization for providing internet services to groups the Trump administration described as “Marxist, anarchist, and other left-wing extremist” is a clear-cut abuse of power. And the seizure of the server represents yet another escalation in the abuse of sanctions to retaliate against and ultimately stamp out political speech the Trump administration dislikes. It is not only shocking that a foreign law enforcement would comply with a request to seize the server, but ironically it shows the necessity of private online communications tools for activists engaged in political speech targeted by the Trump administration."
