🇬🇧 UK TAX AUTHORITY RESUMES DIRECT SEIZURES FROM BANK ACCOUNTS HMRC has reinstated powers suspended during the pandemic that allow it to recover unpaid taxes directly from individuals’ and businesses’ bank accounts without obtaining a court order. The policy, restarted in a “test and learn” phase in 2025, applies to tax debts of £1,000 or more and allows HMRC to withdraw funds from current accounts and cash ISAs. Safeguards include: • A minimum of £5,000 must remain in the debtor’s accounts. • HMRC must make a face-to-face visit before initiating recovery. • Debtors have 30 days to appeal before any funds are transferred. • Vulnerable individuals and those experiencing financial hardship may receive additional protections. The powers allow the government to compel banks and building societies to transfer funds directly to HMRC to settle outstanding tax liabilities.

Communist slavery under CBDCs and total state surveillance. That's the plan. Fight it hard, educate others (getting easier), do not comply. Most importantly, take courage in the fact that they are losing and we will win.
I DO NOT understand what billionaires think the final outcome of all this would be. If nobody has a living wage, they CANNOT buy your products, pay for your services or rent the properties being owned and hoarded. At that point, does the whole thing not just collapse?

In ten more years, having bought under $100k will be all that matters. It won’t make a difference if you bought at $60k or $80k. Do you understand?
13 years ago today: The Washington Post questioned whether a $140 Bitcoin price was justified.

Really, @elonmusk ? SMH.
X, an American company operating lawfully in the United States, was told by Ofcom, the UK's Internet nanny, to write a report about how much censorship it's doing Instead of flipping Ofcom the bird, like my clients did, X wrote the report. Ofcom is now nitpicking the report.

THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO FOREVER BECOME A PART OF HISTORY. An estimated one billion artworks have been made and sold over the course of time, most of which in the last few centuries alone. And they all had one thing in common: the buyer was always playing it safe by knowing what he or she was buying. Even in the most extreme conceptually experimental cases, there was at least SOME indication of what the work would be. What has NEVER happened before, never ever, is an artwork being sold on the open market with no indication whatsoever of the outcome. Because, in short, no-one has ever been courageous enough to do so. Until now. And until you. My next work, which will be displayed as a finished work at Lugano’s Plan B conference on October 23rd, will be for sale at the simple price of 0.123 bitcoin as of now, and all that I’ll show of it for the next week is the blank canvas inside its wrapper. In a week’s time, I will start posting progress photos, but by then it will have lost its historical significance as the first ever blind purchase. If someone, like you, should buy it before I post the first photos, they will forever go down in history as the first EVER completely blind buyer of an artwork. We’ll get it documented, sealed and approved. And who knows. Maybe it will even appreciate in sat value. So. This is your chance to make history with me. It could be a very very cool thing indeed. First one to dare seals the deal 🔥 LFG.

France now leads the world for physical attacks on crypto holders and the UK is third. @Gart_io reported: - 404 attacks across 61 countries - attacks rose 90% from 2024 to 2025 - 35 people killed - 95 home invasions - 88 kidnappings The attacks have closely tracked the bitcoin price and the drop at the end of that chart is a lag in the data, not a threat that has passed. The target is not an exchange account or a hacked wallet, it’s someone’s home. Once a name and a home address are tied to a Bitcoin holding, that link does not expire. That is why expanding the amount of identity and transaction data @HMRCgovuk can obtain deserves scrutiny. Tax enforcement should not create the data trail that leads someone to your home.
HMRC wants more power over financial data. The problem is that Bitcoin is not a bank account. Once names, home addresses and tax IDs are linked to a Bitcoin address, that information can stay connected to a public ledger indefinitely. Europe is already seeing the consequences when crypto holders’ identities and holdings are exposed. France saw 19 verified physical attacks on crypto holders in 2025. A French tax official was charged after using government software to look up crypto investors' details and passing data to criminals. I spoke to @Recap_io, @invity_io, @BullBitcoin_ and @KnightbridgeTax about what the UK and EU rules could mean for privacy, self-custody and physical security. Tax enforcement should not create a target list. My latest for @Forbes: forbes.com/sites/digital-ass…

Both the PM and the Chancellor of the Exchequer are now telling us they launched a Google Maps service to help us find the cheapest petrol station. This is their contribution to helping us with the extortionate fuel prices. This has to be a fucking joke. I have been using an app, PetrolPrices, that does exactly that for nearly 8 years. PetrolPrices was actually launched in 1999 as a website. The problem, in my view, is not that this is a government of imbeciles. The problem is that people across Britain are buying and falling for this utter shit (which is why there's an Andy Burnham bounce in the polls). This is worrying because it shows you that the people of this country are themselves becoming as imbecilic as the government that represents them!
When fuel prices are high, finding the best deal matters. That's why we've launched Fuel Finder in @googlemaps, helping you compare prices more easily and find your cheapest local option.

The risk is not the tax bill. It is a home address tied to a history that never disappears.

I was shocked to learn that Latvia is moving to declare journalist @leonidragozin Leonid Ragozin persona non grata, potentially forcing him out of the country. The immediate danger is obvious. Ragozin is a Russian citizen and a longtime critic of Vladimir Putin and Russia’s war against Ukraine. Forcing him back to Russia could put him at risk of persecution. But this is about much more than one journalist. Ragozin’s real offense appears to be his refusal to tell the story of this war in the comforting language of good and evil: Putin as Hitler, Zelensky as Churchill, Russia as absolute evil, and the West as a spectator with neither agency nor responsibility for the catastrophe unfolding in Ukraine. Ragozin has never denied Russia’s aggression. What he has challenged is the idea that acknowledging the aggressor absolves us from asking how we arrived here. His journalism insists on examining the uncomfortable history behind the war: NATO expansion, the collapse of the post-Cold War security order, Maidan and its aftermath, competing nationalisms, the failure of diplomacy, Putin’s authoritarianism and the steadily escalating confrontation between Russia and the West. You can disagree with his conclusions. But if questioning the Western dominant narrative of a war can make a journalist a national-security threat, something has gone badly wrong. Explanation is not justification. Understanding your enemy is not collaboration with your enemy. And asking how a war began is not treason. That is what makes the Ragozin case so disturbing. It suggests that Europe’s accelerating militarization is being accompanied by an intellectual one: a narrowing of what may be said, questioned, and even thought about this war. As Europe prepares for an increasingly open-ended confrontation with Russia, inconvenient voices become inconvenient for a reason. Nuance interferes with mobilization. Doubt interferes with certainty. And journalism becomes dangerous when it asks questions that politics no longer wants answered. This should frighten us. Europe will not protect democracy by policing the boundaries of permissible thought. Nor will it bring peace closer by silencing those who question the logic of permanent confrontation. We are talking, after all, about a confrontation involving nuclear powers. At such a moment, the dangerous voices are not those demanding that we understand how we got here. The truly dangerous moment comes when we are no longer allowed to ask.

Damn this is good.
Would I get arrested for posting this in the UK? Orwell wrote 1984 as a warning. Britain read it as an instruction manual. 62,000+ arrests for "communications offences" in five years (~34 a day). So I made a music video about it.
