Just saw @danielkhunter vibe coding in a book store. Sneakily took pictures of all his ideas and convos with ChatGPT. How is Grok API integration going?

I have a theory that the shortage of RTX 5090 / RTX 6000 is not due to gamers / enthusiasts buying it, but because they are exported to China on industrial scale.
Greg Lui, 38, a.k.a. Yiu Kong Lui, and owner of a San Gabriel Valley-based technology company, was arrested today on a three-count federal indictment charging him with smuggling to China more than $300 million worth of export-controlled high-end computer servers containing U.S.-manufactured graphics processing units (GPUs) commonly used for Super Intelligence (SI) applications. Lui is charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the Export Control Reform Act and the Export Administration Regulations, one count of outbound smuggling, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. In retrospect we will be like “all the signs were there”
Beijing drone owners are lining up to sell their devices, AFP has reported. A revised municipal rule is said to take effect on 15 November 2026. From that date, Beijing is reported to ban not only flying drones, but also possessing, storing or bringing drones and core parts into the city, except in cases provided for by law. Owners are said to be able to sell at official buyback points, scrap the device, ship it out free via EMS, or take it out themselves. A 30% buyback subsidy, capped at 3,000 yuan, is reported for eligible verified personal drones sold by 31 October. After that, the extra subsidy is said to drop to 15%. Some owners are reported to complain about low valuations. China is home to DJI, but private owners in the capital now have to move, sell or scrap their drones. Source: AFP, Beijing Daily

Netflix is doing a lot of acquisitions. Now they have fiduciary duty to move out from California too.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Paramount to leave California, according to the L.A. Mayor's office and the California Attorney General's office. What we know: tmz.com/2026/09/16/sources-s…

DaVinci Resolve is very good (and free for personal use) video editor! UI is harder than CapCut, but now with AI integration it doesn’t matter - just tell it what to do.

Third weekend with Omarchy: chatgpt guided me through making hibernate fully work. Out-the-box it hibernated, but couldn’t restore the hibernation file due to interaction with nvidia 610 driver. Will file a bug for it.

🤣
Sam!! I guess even a blind squirrel can find a nut sometimes, congrats

My second weekend on Omarchy (trying to migrate from Ubuntu). 1) to rearrange monitors (left-right) you need to edit some lua file that it opens in neovim 🫥 2) now to understand what to write there one may try common-sense ctrl+a -> ctrl+c -> ctrl+v into chatGPT, but neovim thinks pressing "ggVG"+y" is much better ergonomics. @dhh default text editor should be simple, not scary.
My weekend project was to install Omarchy on my workstation. It went less smooth than I expected: 1) installer failed to install on a partially occupied disk because vfat module wasn’t loaded - had to manually do that 2) secure boot is not well supported To be continued…

I’ll throw my hot take in the hat. I think Ox Alpha is Composer 3. Based on GLM (the tokenizer clues), served by xAI (100T tokens/day)

Ox Alpha is GLM then
A few things that confirmed it as I started benching it. Also excuse the poor formatting goodness I hate formatting x posts. - Tried disabling thinking gateway threw Zhipu's [1210] error, and accepted low/high/max which are their specific settings - Response IDs are Beijing time (UTC+8) - Reasoning text follows GLM's format: "The user is asking me to..." The main thing above all the API shape matches Z.ai exactly.. same thing I saw with GLM 5.1 and 5.2 - reasoning_content as separate - reasoning_effort at top level (nested is ignored), - seed is accepted but not used

I pronounce Omarchy with a hard R, kinda like Anarchy with Russian accent.
