new component placement skill in Backplane led to us fooling ~30% of commenters vs. ~5% on this test. GPT models perform much better than Claude models for component placement, FYI.

I run a headless KiCad agent setup using @BackplaneWorks Also if you want to be more hands on you could try the Konnect MCP, I use it all the time and it has a bunch of great tools

New @BackplaneWorks build pipeline for local iteration. I have too many ideas to open up a PR for each one, so now my agents can run a local fork and continually improve it. Structured around pushing changes to upstream only after they are tested with real work
