As today is #WorldMentalHealthDay I just thought I would share this. My story of how @BackOnside saved my life. 3 years ago yesterday I went on a journey I didn’t intend on coming back from. Thanks to Back Onside, I did come back and find myself in a better place.

On Tuesday, we spent the afternoon at Glasgow Airport, hosting a drop-in session for staff at Jet2.
Workplace mental health resources can be vital, providing people with the opportunity to access support, ask questions and learn more about the services available to them.

Scotland days at school, kids faces painted in saltires at nursery, the excitement and togetherness that this tournament brought to everyone in our country means so much to us all.
No one wanted to progress more than us players, and as much as the experiences and memories we’ll share will last forever, that doesn’t take away from how much this still hurts.
What the gaffer has given this group, on and off the pitch, has been immense. Not only by taking us to major tournaments but by how together we have felt as a squad and as a nation. Representing Scotland means everything to us and to him I’ll be forever grateful.
I hope the generation of young Scots who experienced this World Cup grow up believing that seeing Scotland on this stage is the new norm.
Thanks to everyone in the stands and in the streets of Boston and Miami, and to everyone back home for the incredible support.

We are so excited to be hosting our first ever padel tournament at the BRAND NEW Racket Barn in Glasgow. Taking place on Thursday 4th June, raising vital funds for Back Onside’s mental health services. Email [email protected] to book!
On Wednesday night we launched our book club - welcoming people in the local community to a cosy, welcoming space to chat, read & meet new people.
