I am Kara Shiels a 4th year student at Edinburgh Napier University studying Physical Activity and Health. For my dissertation project, I am interested in examining how female footballers appraise their return to performance following injury. To achieve this, I am using the Return to Sport after Serious Injury Questionnaire (RSSIQ). This 15-item questionnaire is designed to examine one’s own perceptions of their return to sport following injury. To undertake this research project, I am looking for volunteers to fill out this questionnaire. Please note, this will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. To be eligible to participate in this study, you must satisfy the following inclusion criteria: 1) Be female and over the age of 18. 2) Be able to read and understand written English. 3) Compete in a National league within your football association pyramid. 4) Have sustained an injury within the last year which took you out of football (i.e., absent from training and match play) for a minimum of 28 days. 5) Have now returned to match play following your injury. If you meet the inclusion criteria specified, it would be greatly appreciated if you would take the time to complete this short online questionnaire.
