Today I learned name of the plantation where my Great Great Great Grandfather was born in 1679-it still exists today as protected land. He was the child of an #enslaved woman and a white endentured servant, a Mulatto, and would then marry a white woman & have 10 children. 👉🏾
My family had always referred to my Great Grandmothers family as "HighYellow" and that we had blonde haired blue eyed folks in the family. I've always known my family was complex...👉🏾
