As a young boy growing up in Northern Nigeria, my basketball journey began on grassroots courts, driven by a passion so strong that I once had to borrow money to buy a pair of basketball shoes. Today, I am humbled and honoured to emerge as President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (@nbbfNG). What began as a childhood dream has become a defining moment in my lifelong journey with the game.
This is more than a personal milestone; it is a call to serve and a commitment to the future of Nigerian basketball. I am determined to work with all stakeholders to elevate the game, inspire a new generation and harness the power of basketball to empower young people, create opportunities and lift them off the streets towards brighter futures.
The journey that began with passion and hope now enters a new chapter of leadership, service and transformation.

I genuinely don’t get the concept of Internal Bleeding. Are we not supposed to bleed inside? Is blood not supposed to be inside the body? So what exactly do you mean by Internal Bleeding, and the fact that it’s even life-threatening confuses me a lot.

I used to be one of those people that didn’t get The Office, then I tried it years later and it was the funniest piece of TV I’d ever seen. Maybe I had to consume more media to get all the satire and irony on the show. But once you get it, it’s truly a masterpiece.
