If anyone tries to argue for shorter games, just show them the last 5 minutes of that quarter.

On average, quarters this year were just 39 seconds longer than quarters in 2012. But sure, instead of cutting back on the insanely long and often unnecessary goal reviews or the last touch reviews, let’s reduce actual game time and overall scoring.

"I think it's inevitable... When Tassie enters the competition, we will see less than 20 minutes and time on enter the AFL." 🗣️ Mitch Cleary on shorter quarters in the AFL (via The Agenda Setters)

Permanently shortening quarters in the AFL would be nothing less than vandalism of the game of Australian rules football. No fan wants this, and surely the broadcasters don’t, either. Bin the idea and start again

Replying to @Adelaide_FC
@Adelaide_FC I hope you see this Zac Bailey deal something that was never going to happen. All we are to players is a club that offers high money for players who use as a bargaining chip. It’s sad they can smell the desperation on us.

Exactly. Remains to be seen what he can get out of the group but nobody can deny he brought us out of misery back into relevance.

Whether he’s the man for the job from now on or not, he took this club from its absolute lowest and turned us into contenders again. For that I’ll always have his respect. Love the man.

I actually feel we have tried to play quite aggressive. Just been fumble in the wet. Clean it up and I reckon we have two more goals on the board.
