Why is the government so hostile to realist assessments of the costs of rejoining the EU? One of their flagship policies is not to rejoin the EU, & to respect the referendum result. Has that changed? If so who voted for it?
Very good coverage by @GBNEWS of our Brexit Facts4EU report which Downing St didn't like one bit...

Very strange response to @BowGroup's recent cost of rejoining the EU projection from @10DowningStreet Firstly the figures are entirely realistic-secondly unless the government are planning to rejoin the EU why would they respond so negatively to a realist assessment of doing so?
Britain could be forced to make radically greater payments into the EU if the country reverses Brexit. Calculations by the Bow Group think tank suggest the UK's gross contribution could hit between £28billion and £41billion if the country signs back up. That figure would dwarf the £14.4billion paid in 2019, working on the assumption that Brussels would never agree to restore Margaret Thatcher's permanent rebate. Thatcher's former aide Lord Redwood warned that the country cannot afford the move, saying: "The UK would need to impose a large new tax; we cannot afford to go in." Former UKIP deputy leader David Campbell Bannerman went even further, insisting: “We would be mad to rejoin and anyone trying to rejoin should be prosecuted for misconduct in public office.” Bow Group chairman Ben Harris-Quinney claimed Labour is quietly setting Britain on a path back into the bloc, bringing with it the euro, heavy regulations, and uncontrolled borders. And Eurosceptics pointed directly to Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, who openly backed Britain returning by declaring: “Yes of course. We need more money.” Conservative shadow foreign minister Wendy Morton questioned the priorities, arguing that Andy Burnham cannot find cash for defence yet seems comfortable handing billions to Brussels. Reform UK also warned that re-entering would betray 17.4 million voters and threaten £164billion worth of post-Brexit trade agreements. Yet pro-EU group Best for Britain dismissed the calculations as completely inaccurate, arguing the claims ignore £92billion in potential GDP growth and compare to filing a tax return without listing business expenses. A Government spokesperson insisted the figures are completely speculative and stated that ministers are focused on building an ambitious relationship with the EU to strengthen the economy. #NewsForYou

The EU gives Westminster a way of deferring responsibility whilst costing us even more money with less accountability. And just look at what’s happening in Europe!
The Bow group say it will cost the UK up to £41 bn a year or £1400 per household to be back under EU direction. The last thing the UK needs is more tax to pay for more wasteful government spending. We cannot afford two governments again.

The latest FIFA own goal is one of many in football governance-but also classic of the wider tone deaf elite phenomenon Its remarkable how few genuine football fans there are in UK politics-theres huge opportunity to make very popular low cost policy interventions that fans want

It's accepted as common knowledge Burnham is hugely popular-but it was only a few weeks ago he was described as being "coronated" His only test has been being gifted a safe Labour seat He received less electoral & media scrutiny than Starmer-whose popularity crumbled in weeks
"For Reform the bar is now set at a level they're expected to win every by-election-but this is a safe Labour seat where a Labour MP stepped down to coronate their new leader. It was always Burnham's to lose, it's entirely unremarkable." @B_HQ newsmax.com/john-gizzi/keir-… #Makerfield

Burnham is a far better communicator than Starmer, so his honeymoon period will likely be longer, but he's still grappling with the same dire existential issues facing the country, and a party & Parliament full of the people that caused them.

Despite the very many tributes-the glee at her death evident on social media underlines the horror we are facing Ann was perhaps the strongest voice for free speech in Britain, but freedom of speech goes in hand with freedom from harm Britain has fallen to a place with neither.
We are deeply saddened at the passing of Ann Widdecombe, our Senior Patron Ann last addressed the Bow Group in 2022, speaking passionately in defence of free speech, an issue she saw as more important than any other Her lifelong steadfast principles serve as an eternal example to conservatives, patriots & Christians May she rest in peace

If City beat Arsenal by 2 goals or more, and then beat Burnley -they're top Could happen in 10 days time... Should never have been allowed to go on for months with a game in hand-huge advantage #CHEMCI

I think Arsenal do it, but the Premiership is now as much in City's hands as Arsenal's If City win every remaining game and score enough to tip the GD they win. It's crazy they've been allowed to carry on with a game in hand for all of living memory though. #ARSBOU #MCIARS

Beyond domestic politics, international conflict offers infinitely greater potential for miscalculation & disaster on a grand scale Whatever you think of Trump, it's undeniable that the globalist establishment viscerally oppose the narratives he employs & their conclusions There is considerable historical evidence of significant resources being used neuter him & anyone else who has deviated from globalism's bible If Trump makes, or is pushed into a major error in war, it's very realistic he can be turned into a killbox for any current or future dissenters by the establishment It will be used to justify making opposition to globalism effectively illegal. It's really one of the few things globalists could do to cling to power in their current form America wanted an anti-war President for many, many reasons. They wanted to move on from an era of decline & injustice. Error in war may condemn us all to that indefinitely.

Just over 10 years ago I predicted another right wing party would overtake Conservative membership within a decade, if they didn't return to conservatism It was dismissed as nonsense by party loyalists Now two have Conservatives today sit dangerously close to terminal status.
Just ten days since @RestoreBritain_ was officially registered, and already, it is the fourth largest political party in Britain. This is truly remarkable. I have no doubt in my mind that we will win the next general election.

Well, as I say, the sitting PM has referred to parties now collectively polling at 49% as "far right". Outsiders perhaps, but fringe not so much - & I suspect never were.
Replying to @B_HQ
Oh, what's up? Don't you like the fact that you're a fringe outsider?

I've always believed in a theory beyond the silent majority The majority of Britain if everyone had to vote wouldn't be centre right-but would fall into the establishment definition of "far right" Currently parties referred to as far right by the PM amount to 49% of UK voters..
🚨 NEW: A new poll shows Restore Britain would get 8% of the vote ➡ Reform UK: 25% 🟢 Green Party: 19% 🔵 Conservatives: 16% 🌹 Labour: 16% 🔶 Lib Dems: 10% 🇬🇧 Restore Britain: 8% 🟣 Your Party: 1% Via @FindoutnowUK, 2948 sample, 25th March
