Working to a 1rm against chains and Harrison’s brother told him he should go for 135 straight weight for the first time ever. Told him that if he’s gonna do it he has to commit. Take it seriously. Earn it. This is what it’s about. Great job kid.

There’s a ton of shit talk between hitting coaches and hitting styles on Twitter and it’s weird. Anyways, that’s why we take hitting from a performance stance. Here you go. If you’re a hitter and you’re looking for the “next unlock”, it’s highly likely it’s not a swing technique fix. You might just be weak.

It took me 3 tries to actually start my walk yesterday. Which is weird, because I knew two things: I’m supposed to do it. And I’m going to do it. There was zero chance I was letting the day end without that walk. But my brain still tried to negotiate. Grab a snack. Have a coffee. Organize some tools. Start in 20 minutes. Anything to push the discomfort off a little longer. That’s the part of discipline we don’t talk about enough: You can become disciplined and still not want to do the thing. Eventually, you just stop giving yourself a vote. For me, this walk is one of those daily actions that inches me toward the person I’m trying to become. Not some finish line. The finish line keeps moving. Your goals evolve. Your dreams get bigger. What you want changes as you grow. That’s where aggressive patience comes in. Be patient enough to understand what you’re building might take years. Be aggressive enough to take another step toward it today. I heard something on my walk that stuck with me: If you take the step, you might get where you want to go. If you don’t, you definitely won’t. So what are we actually afraid of when we’re afraid to go all in? One of the outcomes we fear is ending up exactly where we already are. And we’ve already proven we can survive here. None of these are profound ideas I invented. I’m listening to people farther down the path and trying to understand their lessons well enough to actually use them. I don’t need another quote saved on my phone. Motivation comes and goes. Application is what matters. Take the idea. Use it. Fail at it. Learn. Use it again. Nobody does that perfectly. It took me 3 tries to start my walk yesterday . But I started.

Put down rubber flooring in the garage this weekend. 4’ x 6’ & 3/4” thick mats are cumbersome to move around. The B3 Lab Home Base is moving along.
