The impersonator has copied my username, profile, groups, favorites, and other details as closely as possible in an attempt to make the account look like mine. More importantly, the impersonator has been approaching people I personally know while pretending to be me. We have also confirmed attempts to use information about me to obtain information about other streamers. Because of this, there is a real possibility that this impersonation could cause actual harm. If you encounter an account that appears to be me on VRChat, please be careful. Here are a few ways you can identify the impersonator: The impersonator does not appear to speak Korean. If you are suspicious, try speaking directly to the impersonator in Korean. On the other hand, my English is actually not as fluent as some people might think. If “I” suddenly start speaking extremely fluent English, please be suspicious. The impersonator’s username looks almost identical to my username, `greatmoonaroma`, but one of the letters `o` is slightly different in size or appearance. It can be very difficult to notice at a glance, so please check the username carefully. At this point, this has gone beyond a simple joke or harmless impersonation. The impersonator has been approaching other people and attempting to obtain information while pretending to be me, so please be careful not to be deceived. If you encounter this impersonation account, please do not confront the impersonator or share any personal information. Instead, please use VRChat’s in-game reporting system to report the account.
