Fun Fact: Many Florida cities are canceling parades, events and festivals simply because they don't want Amendment 3 to pass.
They've already received the money for these events in their budget this year, and now they're just trying to pocket that money for themselves.
They're using scare tactics against citizens saying they won't be able to run their cities.

Most of the sheriffs and city officials incomes have increased 30%-90% over the last 5 years.
We have many city officials throughout the state that make more than the governor at $174k.
Totally Ridiculous.
All the amendment is doing is increasing the homestead exemption for homeowners.

NEW: Broward Sheriff Tony Headed for Probable Cause Hearing in Tallahassee for using BSO resources and deputies to help him write his dissertation so he could get a PhD from Nova Southeastern University
“In May 2024, Nova Southeastern University handed Tony his Ph.D. Putting those letters on $552,000 worth of agency gear is its own circus, but Tallahassee is looking at how he wrote the paper.
To craft his dissertation, Tony tapped internal BSO databases and on-duty personnel for his own academic legwork. In June, I asked BSO for the policy that allowed an on-duty doctoral study group and the personal use of agency data between 2021 and 2024. They didn’t have one. Without a carve-out, Tony’s own Policy Manual—Chapter 15—takes over. Those rules strictly lock down BSO computers, hardware, and confidential databases for official business only.
When rank-and-file deputies use BSO systems for personal business under Chapter 15, Internal Affairs opens a file and hands out discipline. When the sheriff does it to put a doctorate on his shower curtain, he gets a news crew, a victory lap, and custom branded urinal cakes.
